We were in the process of planning a cross country move into our recently purchased Chico home. We had already done some painting in the master bedroom to match the color scheme in our old home. It turned out to be a difficult color of green to find suitable carpeting for. We went to several carpet stores in the Chico area. Wood Brothers was the only store that took a great deal of time and effort in making sure we found carpeting of the color and pattern we liked. Craig has been in the carpeting business for many years and even knew the manufacturer of the old 'berber' type carpet that was in the home. With his help, we finally came up with a brand/color/pattern of carpet that seemed like it would work. But because the carpet samples are very small in the store, we didn't feel comfortable spending the money based on that. Craig was kind enough to order a large piece of the carpet from the manufacturer AND he sent that piece to our home in the Midwest. Since the room there was the same color as the room in Chico, we were able to confidently make the decision to purchase the carpet. The carpet was then ordered and successfully installed a few days prior to our moving truck's arrival. Thus, we were able to place the furniture in the room and have one room in the home fully functional on the first day. Although both bedrooms are larger than average, the second bedroom had none of the drama of the first one. We were able to purchase that carpet without any drama. Wood Brothers made separate trips to install the 2 rooms of carpeting. But they did a great job. The staff in that store are outstandingly nice and incredibly knowledgeable and experience about flooring. We highly recommend Wood Brothers!!

Someone was made available immediately--I think all 3 times I was in there, (2 times with my friend) the wait was no longer that 5 minutes, if the person at the desk was helping someone else. There seemed to be enough sales people to handle the amount of customers that came in. There was NO pressure to buy anything we didn't want. In fact, once they showed us the area where the remnants were, we were left alone to choose. Someone was right there to help us with the purchase, once we selected what we wanted. It's a good place to get good quality remnants for small jobs.

salesmen in store were helpful and not pushy, we were encouraged to browse and take our time. The area rug was completed in less time than expected and the wall to wall installer was excellent.

Wood Bros. gave us a list of installers with about 5 of them recommended. We called Fred Castro--who offered to come out that same day (Saturday). We set up an appointment for him to do the work 2 days later (Monday am). There was a mix-up about dates, but he did come out a couple of hours later and did the installation. The job he did was mediocre, the carpet isn't stretched very tightly...because the time got changed, we never met him, our adult daughter was here. So I don't know if he was strapped for time or what. He charged around $85.

I chose Hambek's Do All Service. Glenn and his helper did a beautiful job in a very satisfactory time frame and with no mess left. I am very happy with the entire purchase and installation process. The total I showed included this excellent installation which cost $250 total. I am now planning to recarpet a much larger area--living room, dining room and hall and will be using the same installer and purchasing carpet and pad from Wood Brothers.

THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK WAS IMPECCABLE. WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE OF THE COMPANY. THEY WERE VERY FAST AND EFFICIENT. THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AS WELL.
