WELLS FARGO HOME MORTGAGE

We had a very positive experience. We worked with David Van Der Zee and he was excellent in my opinion. He worked at an excellent rate and kept his word on everything he said he would do for our loan. He got it processed very quickly and punctually. There were no glitches. It was smooth and he supported us even in to the signing of the title documents. So, in my opinion, he went above and beyond the call of duty to support us through that whole process. It went way faster than expected and we're very pleased. There were no surprises in closing. In fact, they came in less than estimated. That's one thing that David explained. Wells Fargo tends to over-inflate their closing fees and usually it will come a bit lower.

My husband and I were pre-approved by Wells Fargo for an 80% home loan. We were told by the agent (Charles Thompson) that our loan would be fast and easy. When our loan application went to underwriting, it was turned down and we were told that we would have to restructure our loan (75% loan). This is called BAIT AND SWITCH. We then submitted our loan application to another lender. The same 80% loan application was pre-approved and subsequently approved by the other lender. Wells Fargo cost us a 2 month delay in closing.
