I work for the Garland Company, we are a roofing and waterproofing manufacturer. As the manufacturer, we hold the final warranty for the project. One of the hardest avenues of my job is to find a professional and quality contractors to install our products. When I have the opportunity to work with United Building Contractors, it puts my mind at ease. Between the hard working office staff to ensure all paperwork work is correct, to the outstanding installers in the field, it’s safe to say they are an outstanding outfit. I would recommend them for any and all roofing projects.

I came by Dan through his nephew Gabe (Dunn's Seamless Gutters). I asked him to quote for an entire re-roof for my large Mill Valley home together with about 8 other business rated on Angie's List, Yelp or personally recommended to me. Meeting him in person for the first time it quickly became clear that he knew roofing (and indeed has worked in the field his whole life, his father also owns a roofing business) and his detailed recommendations about precisely what he would do during the project and why he would do it that way clearly came from an excellent working knowledge of his field. His price was excellent, it was marginally lower than one other company based in a more upscale location in Marin (the other companies that bid provided some horribly high prices, the range was extraordinary). We liked him personally, we trusted that he would do a good job because of the advice he gave, and because our roof is large, we didn't want to pay over the odds. We chose him - even though he doesn't have a review on Angie's list (but gave us personal recommendations) - but he deserves this review because the job that he and his large crew did was fantastic. They were prompt and courteous, Dan was personally on site all the time (he also worked with his crew), the individual workers were great too (and boy did they ever work hard). The final result looks amazing, it's such a well executed job, we are delighted (and I can be hard to please when it comes to contractors). 
To sum up, if you want a top-notch job, managed by a thoroughly pleasant and knowledgeable man with a great super hard working crew for a competitive price, then Dan George Roofing is for you.
