FOUR SEASONS ROOFING

Absolutely would not recommend using Four Seasons Roofing of Chico. He was recommending by a reputable general contractor, so we felt he was the right choice. We needed to replace our tile roof that had failed. Because time was of the essence, the rainy season was upon us and he was willing to move us to the head of his schedule, we accepted his bid. We had a trip to Hawaii planned for the same week and he talked us into leaving our house in his hands, "I will take care of your house like it is my own!" He did anything but. Not once did he came by to check on his under qualified roofers. His son watched the job, and was rarely on sight. (We watched on our cameras). They did such a poor job it has taken three months to fix the problems, like insufficient roof vents, more had to be added, roofing over some of the gutters, sloppy painting of wood that had to be replaced, and irreparable damage to our deck by the workers dragging roofing materials across the top. And finally, there was venting incident which could have burned our house down. We still have to wait until August 2025 to see some of the buckling shingles will lay down or be replaced, and he is insisting on full payment while we wait. This job has been a nightmare!

Even though the roof looks great I was hesitant to provide a review because it's difficult for me judge the quality of job without removing the roof. I recently had to have a small section of shingles removed and was told everything looked good. And even if we didn't get enough rain last winter we did have some amazing downpours that did cause flooding in town - no sign of any leaks. Everyone was very easy to deal with and they made the process easy. A roofer even pointed out some dry rot that I hadn't noticed (not related to the roof). My one complaint is that while the cleanup wasn't bad it could have been a little better in that there was some debris left in the gutters.

Well. I do wonder how they got in my back garage door to use an into or plug when the outside one blew I wasn't home at the time. I usually deadbolt that door but it is possible that I had failed to do so previous to this incident. Otherwise the worked with efficiency and were pleasant to deal with.

They were excellent. They were right here the next day and had something in the mail the following day. They sent me a nice proposal and contract with all the goodies on it. Their quote was very good as well. They seem like a really good company. They are bonded and licensed and all that good stuff. My wife and I were both impressed with them.

The original removal of the old roof went really quick. The actual reroofing took 2 or 3 days more than they had told us because for the most part they just had one guy doing it. It was a couple of days before he had a second guy. It was really no big deal. They have been around for a long time and they have a pretty good reputation. They put the original roof on when the house was built in 2000. We had a lot of hail damage back in October 2011. Two or three of my neighbors had used them. They had all the records on what was required. Their estimate was very competitive. It boiled down to them and one other company and we went with them because of the history. They did respond very quickly to a couple of items.

My roof was very damaged from the October 2011 hailstorm, so I called around for bids. Butte Roofing's bid came back quickly. The roofers were out here promptly on the promised day and finished the roof in two days. All debris was cleaned up, they hosed everything off and even painted the metal fan covers on the roof to match the new shingles. Everyone answered all my questions with patience and courtesy. I highly recommend this company!

Overall it went great! They were prompt with the estimate and I was very happy with the service. They were very nice and professional. Best of all, they did a great job cleaning up after themselves when they were done.
