Went great!  I had a serious oil leak, and the Jiffy Lube guys said it was my head gasket, so I called my regularish mechanic, Ace Radiator, but they couldn't get me in for two weeks.  
Angie's List and another friend recommended Affordable Automotive.  They have an online appointment system, which I definitely prefer over calling.  I just typed a short description of my problem and that I'd like to come in the next day.  Within a half hour I got an email back saying that I could bring my car in on Monday (it was Wed when I contacted them).  Perfect!
I dropped my car off Monday morning at 8 (there was a little line of people waiting to do the same).  They called around noon with the news and estimate, I told them to go ahead, and it was all done by Tuesday at 3.  
They have a 24 month/24000 miles warranty, so I assume they did quality work!  
The experience was very stress-free.  The employees were nice and polite.  I will definitely go back!
One warning--when you're driving down Park, there is a decoy "Affordable Automotive Car and Truck Sales" business right around 20th Street.  That's not the right place!  :)  Go a couple blocks further!

simple job. Courteous, prompt,  helpful.  12 month/12,000 miles guarantee of work.  Will use again. Don't know the usual cost of this, but quote didn't seem unreasonable.

We take both our cars to Affordable Automative for all our auto maintenance and repairs. They are always pleasant and the price is always fair. They consistently do a great job and I would highly recommend them!

It went smooth, didn't need a new wiper blade motor or anything involved with the speeds. Affordable cleaned the contacts witch were very dirty and only charged me for a half hour of labor. I will be a loyal customer.

I needed it in a hurry to take on a trip. Called Tuesday and they had me drop it off Wednesday and had it ready by the end of the day on Thursday. I was called on Wednesday with the total price. No surprises. They did a complete inspection and the truck ran great and we had no problems on the trip. The facility was clean and professionally run.

Affordable has been maintaining all my vehicles for about 5 years. They have always been honest and have helped me to keep the expense down my thoroughly explaining how important each repair might be. They are good mechanics.

Great Work !!!My Lexus Dealer in San Jose improperly installed Air conditioner Cabin filter - that caused A/C "Auto Mode" to malfunction.When I returned to the Lexus Dealer - they could Not find any problem - but the Lexus Dealer still charged me a "service fee" of $90.
 Affordable Auto not only solved the problem - but then said it was "no charge" because "they just checked the filter & put back in" (more than my Lexus Dealer did).Affordable Auto is simply OUTSTANDING !!! ...and incredibly FAIR on pricing. What a breath of fresh air these guys are. They just made me - a Customer of theirs - for life.

I called and got an appointment the next day.  They did a very thorough examination of my vehicle, top to bottom at no charge.   They verified that I did need replacement shocks on the rear, but that the front ones were fine. I was given a quote and then the work was performed to meet that estimate.  I was in the waiting room about 3 hours total. 

Not at all bad for the examine my van had.  They found a couple of other things that will be needing attention in the near future and gave me estimates on fixing those items as well.   They were very polite, explained in as much detail as I needed what was needed on my van, gave me the printed estimate and that was it....no high pressure. 

While I was there, it seemed like ladies day!  A lot of women were bringing their cars in...two were just for the free check up since they had just purchased used cars, others for scheduled work.  Several of those told me that they would not take their cars to anyone else.

We are new to the area and one of the worst things in a new area is finding an automotive place that you can trust and feel comfortable dealing with.  I believe that we found that in Affordable Automotive......which I initially checked out here on Angie's list!

This is the second time I have found Angie's list to be right on here in our new home!  The first was a dentist....what could be more important a find that a pain-free dentist and an honest auto mechanic?!!

They fixed everything on the car except could not get the airbag light to stop blinking. They did not have the correct machines to fix it. They worked on it, but did not charge me because they were not able to fully fix it. They also worked on the door, but did not charge me for that. They were very fair and it was a lot less expensive that I thought it would be.

I was pleased with the quick turn around but, will not request service from or, recommend them to others.

Being able to trust my mechanic is the most important thing for me. They are always affordable and professional.

Since the first time I went to them they showed me a kindness and honesty that you rarely find in the auto service industry. They have consistently treated me so well and have always been very affordable (compared to other places i have gone).
