The counter is really nice. The workmanship is excellent. The person installing the counter came early and completed the job in a timely manner. He did a great job cleaning up. I would definitely recommend this company In fact we are going to have them make another counter.

Ken (the owner) of Valley Counter Fitters came to our house with lots of Corian samples & allowed us to choose the perfect color for our Master Bathroom's countertop. Our existing white Corian countertop looked really outdated with our newly refaced cabinets that are now stained a beautiful cherry color. Having all of these samples in our house & being able to look at them during daylight hours really helped us pick out the perfect color for us. We ended up choosing a tan Corian that looked like granite. Ken pointed out that the granite-like flakes of the tan Corian matched perfectly with our cherry colored cabinets. This level of service convinced us that Valley Counter Fitters was the way to go. We would have never gotten this in-home service at any chain store.
Craig was our installer & did a marvelous job. He was neat & tidy. He removed our existing white Corian countertop with ease. Then he cut the sink, faucet, & soap dispenser holes in the new tan Corian countertop. He mounted both new sinks to the new countertop & installed the countertop. It looked amazing. Our Master Bathroom had been completely modernized after replacing the countertop.
Craig also sanded our Kitchen's existing Corian countertop. Over the years, it had developed some scratches in it & he was able to completely remove them. The electric sander had a vacuum attached to it, so our Kitchen did not get dusty at all. After sanding, the countertop looked brand new again. This is the magic of Corian- that it can be reworked easily.

We originally planned to have one of the ?big box? stores install a countertop for the bar in our family room. We started having misgivings about how things were going with this store, so I located Valley Counterfitters on Angie?s List. Since their shop is nearby, my husband and I dropped in to get information. Ken showed us the possibilities. We took a few samples home, and Ken came out the next day to measure and give us a quote. We agreed to have Ken cut and install the material we had selected. About an hour after Ken left, he called to say he had a piece of Corian in the same color (an upgrade) and could give us a discount of $80 on the project. Ken initially told us that it would be two weeks before Valley Counterfitters could come out to install the material. However, since they had a cancellation, they were able to install the material one week after we received our quote. John came out on time and did a superb job of installing the Corian countertop. Quick, professional, neat, thorough cleanup?very important because we were in the process of having hardwood flooring installed and were worried about damaging the unfinished wood. We were VERY pleased with the service and quality of the product we received and highly recommend this company.

Ken and his company is a jewel! Very professional, helpful, and super pro-active. The end result was excellent! If everyone in the construction business was like Ken and his company it would be a breeze. I would highly recommend Ken to everyone.

I contacted Ken through email and set up an appointment to visit the workshop. (He usually comes to you, but we were on our way to Simi Valley that day anyway.) He stayed late on a Saturday to show us all the options and discuss what we wanted, our budget, etc. We were able to narrow it down to two possible countertops, and he was nice enough to let us take two small slabs home so we could look at the colors in context.
A few days later Ken came out to double check the measurements I had given him. At that time I was able to let him know which top I had settled upon. That visit only took about 10 minutes.
It only took a week to fabricate the countertop and undermount sink. Ken gave me advance notice of when they wanted to install, and also discussed the best way to schedule a plumber (because although they can remove an old sink they do not hook up the new one.) On Ken's advice I ended up scheduling the demo and install for a Thursday and a pumber for Friday morning. That way my kitchen was only out of comission for one day.
The installers arrived Thursday morning. They covered the floors and demo-ed the old tile. What a mess--I'm glad I didn't try to do it myself! They got it all out in about two hours and the floors and cabinets are just fine.
One installer left, and the remaining one then began the task of making minor adjustments to the fit of the premade countertop. He had a little workshop set up in the driveway to make minor cuts for outlets, to adjust for walls that weren't quite square, etc. He also did multiple test fits before actually gluing the countertops down. The install all together took about 5 hours. He consulted me several times to make sure all was going to way I wanted. There was one small section of the backsplash that almost didn't happen, because the wall behind it turned out to have a bulge in the plaster. But he figured out how to shave off a bit of the back of the solid surfacing itself to compensate. From the front you cannot tell the difference. I thought that was terribly clever of him.
He then wiped everything down and vaccumed up the kitchen and the driveway before leaving.
By the next day another fine layer of dust had settled in the kitchen, so I did have to dust and vacuum again. But the result is great and so easy to clean!

The rental home I recently acquired was built in 1956 and had not been updated. The kitchen was small and dark (due to knotty pine cabinets + dark brown tile countertops), and while I initially was going to let that be - I decided, on somewhat of a whim, to call Valley Counterfitters (based on Angie's list reviews) to get an estimate to see what it would cost to replace the dark tile.
I spoke with Ken and we arranged a date/time to meet. Ken was delightful and very patient with me as we explored options and price points. I ended up agreeing to do the job and choose a lightly speckled white, brown and grey solid surface countertop with matching backsplash, which also included a new integrated double sink (based on a special the company was running at the time). The countertop and sink are now so easy to clean.
I cannot being to express how much brighter and more cheery the kitchen looks; such a seemly small change has made an enormous difference and I'm glad I chose to do this upgrade.

Very well. Ken worked with me - came to my house several times with samples, was patient when I changed my mind about the pattern I wanted, removed my old counters weeks in advance of my being ready to order the new ones. The new counters look great and I'm very happy with the overall experience.

Ken came out to measure and show me some samples. He was great. Very patient and responsive. I went with lg hi mac. I appreciated the low maintenance aspects of the solid surface and this company makes their countertops in Georgia USA and I'm trying to use American made products in our remodeling project. Ken's team just installed the countertop. They were friendly, neat, very efficient, and very quick. I would use them again if I ever need another solid surface countertop.

We were putting the house up for sale and wanted to do some upgrades that would help the look of the house without breaking the bank. I called Ken who made an appointment to come out at our convenience. He brought numerous samples of laminate and man made stone. He took measurements and left. After deciding on material and color I called Ken back. He was able to get the material in less than a week. The installation took 2 days instead of 1, due to a mismeasurement on VCF's part, requiring that the piece be cut again. The workers were professional, clean and courteous - could not ask for better than that. The price was fair, the work is beautiful and we have received numerous compliments on it.

Ken Franklin came to my home to measure the existing countertop, which included 2 sinks, and a small shelf that continued over the toilet to the other wall. We discussed different options, and he gave me a ballpark price. I then went into his showroom to choose the the pattern and color, as well as the sinks. I then sent a deposit of $750. On the day of the installation, Craig came to do the work. We noticed right away that the measurement of the sides and back were shorter than the original. In addition, it was difficult to get the toilet tank cover off. It was a tight fit. I spoke to Ken, and he told me that he would pay to have my painter come out and paint the area left exposed. Craig also came back and made an adjustment so that the toilet tank cover could be removed. The shelf that went over the toilet tank was wider than the original. We realized that this would cause a problem if we ever needed to replace any components in the toilet. At that time, I called Ken again, and he came out to see the problem. He had two solutions. We could rip out the countertop, re-cut it and reinstall it, or we could get a new toilet. We chose to get a new toilet, and he agreed to pay the cost of the toilet and the installation. It was very difficult finding a toilet to fit, because the shelf width left few options. It ended up costing quite a bit, but Ken paid every cent immediately. You may wonder why I gave this company all A's. Well, although they did make the error in measuring, I am more than impressed by their integrity and honesty. It was more than annoying going through the correction process...paint...take out the old toilet, replace with new, re-grout around toilet, and re-paint behind toilet, but I am still blown away by what they did to remedy the situation. I would not hesitate to use this company again...I'm not so sure they would feel the same about me.

Ken came out the day after I called and measured the existing space. He brought a large selection of laminate and solid surface samples. Because it was a very large job, I was originally going to replace the counters with laminate. The Livingstone solid surface ended up being only a little more expensive and looked SO much better. I went to the workshop and they had a work in progress of the surface I chose, so I was able to see a large example. Craig came out less than two weeks later and installed the counters in under a day. The new ones were cut on site and they even made two trivets out of the leftover material. The new counters look fantastic and I am so pleased with the results! This was a great company to work with. My calls were always answered (no voicemail *explicative*!) and everything went smoothly from start to finish.

Called Valley Counter Fitters, got a prompt reply. Faxed them a drawing and got a quick estimate. It was a little cheaper than the only other estimate I got, so based on that and the good ranking of this company on Angie's list and the BBB, I decided to go with Valley Counter Fitters. Ken Franklin, the owner, came out a few days later and measured my existing countertops. He called a few days later to let me know my material had arrived and gave me a few options for installation dates. He would have done the job the next day, but I chose to wait until Monday. His employee did the job in less than 1 day, and the results were exactly what I wanted. I had been particularly concerned about the countertop edges as they had been done very poorly the last time around, which was why I was replacing them only 3 years later! So I am very happy with my new countertops - they look great! I would highly recommend this company.

We obtained 4 other est for the same work. They ranged in price from $3200-$4700.We then tried going through a well known company...BIG MISTAKE! The other subcontractor mismeasured, raised the price, were late & said we wouldn't have any countertop for 7-10 days.We decided to forget redoing the countertops even though we had just upgraded the appliances and refaced the cabinets. We found Valley Counter Fitters on Angie's List. Ken returned our phone call immediately, came out 2 days later & measured & answered all of our questions. Since our kitchen is small & we plan on selling, we didn't want to spend a fortune. Ken gave honest options & a fantastic price for the same product others had charged higher. Two days later, Craig came out (again, on time) & removed the old countertops, cut the new ones on site & left the kitchen neater than when he'd arrived. This is an amazing company w/ an outstanding work ethic.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I plan on using them on my commercial properties too. A+++
