If First American attempts to assign this company to you, immediately ask for another contractor. Had a leaking water heater, scheduled to meet contractor between 9-11 am. The person I eventually talked to at Billy's assured me their guy would be there first thing in the morning after I told them that our schedule was tight. At 11:30, called warranty company, let them know that Billy's was a no show and that no one had called or texted. Called Billy's published number (it's the number where customer callers go to die, no one ever picks up) let them know as well. At 12, I get a call with no caller ID and it is Billy's home office (evidently the super secret number that anyone but a customer gets) and they tell me the contractor is running "just a little late" and will get there ASAP. I ask for a little more clarity and wonder aloud why they haven't called DURING THE APPOINTMENT WINDOW to tell me they were running late and they're like, whatever. I then ask, where is the guy right now and what is his number - "He's in Los Angeles and we don't give out phone numbers". Freaking classic. I ask, can you give me a little more clarity, as in, where is the guy and what how far away is he? "I don't know, he hasn't called in". Great, just call me when he is near, or leaves from wherever he is. Next thing, at 1:30, a full 2.5 hours outside of the time window, I get a call from a No Caller ID phone and it is from the contractor. He is at my front door. I tell him to give me 5-10 minutes to get there. He says, "I can give you five minutes, beginning now". ***? As we speak, I get another beep in from a No Caller ID line and it is Billy's home office. She says contractor has been there 15 minutes. "Funny, I am on the other line with him and he got there one minute ago." She argues, "No, I have timed this and he has been there 15 minutes and he has to go". "So are you telling me that you can show up 2.5 hours late and then give me 5 minutes to meet you?" "Sir, we are going to call warranty company (and lie) and ask for another company to meet with you." The notion that these guys have any intention of honoring an appointment commitment is a joke. And they have no intention of letting you get in touch with them. Horrible company. Run from them

They put in several toilet bowls inside my house and one of them was a small size for a small size bathroom it tie the space  so he thought for it to be smaller one closer to the wall or something to allow the door to open and close so it was a replacement that my old one goes down new one comes in and he put in a small one that fitted the space requirement but the toilet bowl flushed, but where the water wheeze of the bottom of the hole was too small and so the water can not go through, little bit of water can go through not a lot of water and a little bit a toilet paper can cause plugging and the problem is I did not use that, it's a spare bathroom it's not one that we use all the time after about a year later  I was out of town I was busy trying to do something so I wasn't home and we have three bathrooms all together and when I was out of town there was only two people cleaning the house so that bathroom was not being used for quiet some time until I finally came home and I tried to use the toilet and I found out the water would not flushed and it was overflowing of water and I finally call this guy and said hey so and so I got a problem I know that it's more than one year now and we have a problem can we find a solution what I mean is I am willing to pay a little extra again but you need to find me another toilet bowl that will flush and he never return my call and one day I dropped into their office and I talked to his manager and he still not respond.

They did a lot of plumbing and have just been amazing. They're very professional and also stuck to the estimate they gave us in the beginning. Even though we added some new things and there was more work than when we started, they stuck to their estimate.

This place is a complete scam.
I requested drain clean-out for the sink in the bathroom - working via American Home Buyer's warranty. Contractor Connection sent the technician who looked the problem. He concluded that he couldn't do anything because he couldn't open the clean-out cap, and said he would check with my warranty company, because if he broke it, it would not be covered by the warranty. This is where the ride began
Unsurprisingly, CC concluded that they my insurance doesn't cover it. Not only that, my bathroom stood dismantled for a week without anyone giving me a call to actually tell me that. I called myself last Fri. After arguing for half an hour on the phone and offering to pay for a broken cap myself (if they indeed broke it), they backpedaled and said they didn't want to take the responsibility even if I wanted to pay for it. I couldn't deal with these people and asked to come at least put my bathroom back together. After half an hour of more arguing that they don't have manpower for that, they finally agreed to send someone. They didn't show up.
I arrived back home, bought the tool and unscrewed the cap myself. Called them back and they agreed to come out and finish the job between 8-11am. I call them the day of the appointment and they tell me it is actually 9-12. I eat that again. But guess what: noone shows up until 12:30.
And when I call, I get referred immediately to the manager lady who is extremely disrespectful. When I describe to her the situation - that no-one has called me, or the tech is late, or that my bathroom is dismantled - and ask for a resolution, all I hear in response is "It is what it is". "I dont' have the manpower - what do you want me to do about it?" "They are wrapping up the last job - what do you want me to do about it?" "I guarantee you we won't be having you as a customer again".
I hope they go out of business for this sort of respect for their customers.
Response from THE CONTRACTOR CONNECTION
"Our company services Home Warranty Policies for multiple companies. In this case, the Warranty Company, Old Republic, requested we respond to a request by this combative, rude, demanding, unethical and unrealistic homeowner to service a clogged drain in the guest bathroom. TENANTS occupy this home and NOT the owner, so information provided by Mr. Homeowner is not first hand and is in general untrue and inaccurate. Upon arrival, our technician immediately disassembled the sink drain system and popup assembly in an attempt to clear the stoppage. He then determined the problem was inside the wall and noticed the vanity cabinet had to be removed in order to access the piping. According to the terms of this homeowner’s policy with Old Republic, removal of the vanity cabinet IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE HOMEOWNER AND NOT COVERED. Therefore, Mr. Homeowner was notified by telephone (nearly impossible to contact) the vanity cabinet must be removed by him since doing so was not covered. Mr. Homeowner then suggested we “fabricate” a story to tell Old Republic so they would cover the work. The office manager declined doing so and remained firm stating removal of the vanity cabinet is the responsibility of the homeowner and not that of our company. Mr. Homeowner was audibly upset. Mr. Homeowner eventually had the vanity cabinet removed. Our technician returned and discovered the cast iron cleanout plug was fused to the piping and could not be removed. Again, removal of the plug was NOT COVERED UNDER THE TERMS OF THE WARRANTY POLICY WITH OLD REPUBLIC. The technician notified our office and we contacted Old Republic to see if the work could be covered. Once again, Mr. Homeowner suggested we “fabricate” another story in order to make sure the work was covered. The office manager declined doing so and remained firm stating the Warranty Company will determine if they want to cover it or not. Our technician left the home since approval was not immediately granted. Mr. Homeowner had the plug removed by others then summoned our company to return for service to the clogged sink/drain. We scheduled a follow up appointment with Mr. Homeowner. Our technician arrived and there was no answer at the door. Repeated attempts to contact Mr. Homeowner by telephone were unsuccessful. We eventually scheduled a return visit where the technician reassembled everything and made sure all was draining properly. At no time did we shirk our responsibility or decline service to the home. In fact, despite repeated attempts to schedule service, Mr. Homeowner would not make himself or the tenants available for service. We did all we could to provide excellent service, all the while enduring profanity laced tirades and accusatory and threatening behavior by Mr. Homeowner. His attempts to misinform and fabricate information provided to the Warranty Company seemingly left him frustrated and desirous of seeking some form of retaliation toward our company. Contractors beware if you decide to work for this homeowner."

I called the company in the morning to ask them to give me a call when they were on their way. My appointment time was between 12-3. I got a phone call at 11:25 from the company saying where was I the repair man was at my house and would leave if I was not home in a few minutes. Luckily my sister was down the street and was able to go to my house. When I got home I discovered they had replaced my nice toilet with a very cheap one and left a ring of caulking and dirt all around on the floor because they toilet they gave me had such a small base compared to the toilet I had. The repair man said it needed "elbow grease" to get the dirt out but unfortunately on a stone floor this is not the case. I am now left with a toilet that is ridiculously too small and looks horrible. The customer service at the contractor connection said they did what the warranty company told them to so they were off the hook and didnt care if I was unhappy. Nice! :(

Our home waranty co sent The Contractor Connection (TCC).  We came home to find water leaking from our pressure regulator.  We checked the pressure and it was at 110 PSI.  We immediately contacted our home warranty co and filed as an emergency because we didn't want any water fixtures to blow and cause other damage.  TCC felt it wasnt necessary to come out that day and scheduled an appointment for the following day.  We didn't know what time until the next morning when they called and told me they would have someone there between 10-1.  The office person had to call me several times because they couldn't find the house.  I asked her to have the service person call me or my husband when they got to the house since we had someone else there to allow them access.  We did not receive a phone call.  They took our check for $60, wrote that there were "no issues with regulator" and then left an estimate to replace a hose bib that is perfectly fine for $235 plus parts.  We called them back to tell them that the pressure is usually higher in the late afternoon and that we know for sure the regulator was bad.  The woman said they would come back at 2 p.m.  We asked for them to come back around 4 p.m. since we knew for sure the pressure would be higher then.  They refused and then told us that they would tell the home warranty company that we refused service.  She also told us that we should file a home warranty claim if something blows out and the we can just "turn off the water" if that happens.  She was extremely rude!!  We contacted the home warranty again and they were very helpful.  They sent out another plumber that same day.  The PSI was at 110 and they replaced the pressure regulator.

This contractor was sent by our home warranty company. Ryan arrived right on time, was professionally dressed, clean and extremely friendly. He jumped right in, communicating what he was doing to me as he went. He replaced the parts of our faucet that were faulty very quickly and also offered me some good advice for when we do buy a new faucet.

Miguel and Kim were terrific. We have just purchased this tri-level townhouse, and two weeks in, the drains are backing up, and made a mess in the downstairs bonus room. We called our Homeowner's Insurance company and they first sent out a company of lazy shysters who just flat out refused to do the work. I called back irate the next day and said I didn't want a repeat of that experience, and that they needed to send out someone who is reputable and responsible. They got me in touch with Kim at Contractor's Connection, and I told her of my experience. She reassured me that the gentleman she was sending out is a conscientious professional. His name is Miguel, and that's exactly what he is. Miguel came out promptly and snaked the line over and over until we were finally able to determine that the blockage is in common Homeowner's property and needs to be hydrojetted. He was candid in telling me that his company was capable of sending someone out to do the job, but actually discouraged me from doing so. Rather than laying out the money myself, he suggested I call the Homeowner's Association and get them to cover it with their own plumbers. He then graciously volunteered to put a camera into the line and put a mark on the driveway exactly where the blockage is, in order to make it easier for the other plumbers to get at it. Rather than pressure me for upgrades, Miguel went out of his way to be of service. He did everything in his power to help get the problem resolved, and I feel confident that I am proceeding armed with appropriate knowledge to get appropriate resolution. Miguel showed professionalism, courtesy, generosity and integrity, and I am very grateful.

The Contractor Connection performed work under a home warranty contract on pipes above our water heater. When there were leaks in the same area 2 years later, I once again called home warranty who sent out a different contractor. This contractor told the home warranty company that the prior work was incorrect and had failed and thus the warranty company refused to pay for another repair. I told the home warranty company that I had my repair documents from The Contractor Connection (hereafter TCC), that the work had been done under the auspices of the warranty company and that they, according to their own policies, should be responsible. The home warranty company refused and said that I had paid TCC an additional $225 for additional work and that the warranty company would not cover that. Thereafter TCC called to say they would come out and repair it and get the home warranty company to reimburse them. She sounded so nice & reasonable on the telephone. Well, it was a huge disappointment. Tony Lucas, the repairman from TCC, came out with an angry demeanor, shoved a paper in my face that absolved TCC of all responsibility should he do anything wrong, looked at the pipes and said it wasn't their work. He said it would be $350 for him to do the repair. I tried to get in touch with Betty as Betty had said that the warranty company would cover it if it was a new leak. I was told by Suzanne that Betty had left for the day -which was a good trick as Tony was speaking with Betty on his cell. They all lied and just made the situation worse. I felt very conned & betrayed by TCC.

I HAVE A HOMEOWNER'S WARRANTY, SO THE PRICE FOR MY WATER HEATER TO BE REPLACED WAS LOW. THE WORKMEN WERE VERY POLITE. IT TOOK THEM A LONG TIME, SINCE I HAVE CABINETS NEAR THE WATER HEATER. THEY WERE CLEAN AND ON TIME.
