"Thank you for saying I was a nice guy. I try to be with all I do. I am sorry you were not satisfied with the work, We did a final walk through after our work was completed and you did not raise any concerns or issues at that time. If however afterword you discovered a leak or any thing else that was not to your liking, I would have professionally responded to your request to fix whatever started leaking in a timely manner. But I did not hear anything from you at all. This is the first I've heard...4 months later."
He came out to my house and I told him about the different things I wanted to get done. My immediate plan was to start with an extensive double living room remodel. Including replacing the flooring, installing new lighting, renovating 2 fireplaces, replacing 4 windows, installing new custom cabinets and niches, and arching the doorways, paint, and wallpaper. I also needed to do structural repairs in my patio. Previous estimates I had received were about $50,000.00. What can I say? I have expensive taste! I also told him that it was the beginning of a whole house renovation which would require architectural drawings because I was also planning on doing a room addition which included 2 bathroom remodels (previous quotes were roughly $75,000. I also intend to remodel my kitchen, master bedroom, tile the courtyard and pool (probably over $100,000 in costs).
If I had known that $50,000 (or an eventual total of $225,000) in remodeling costs was not going to be enough money spent with him, I would not have wasted his time or mine.
"Hello (member name removed), I took the time to meet with you and we had several follow ups calls and emails several months ago and though at that time you had many ideas for projects you wanted to do, you stated to me that you wanted ONLY to do the living room and family room fireplaces and minor repairs, one at a time. I told you at that time that we do Major General Remodeling and that a Masonry Contractor would better suit your needs and budget. So here I am, very surprised that months later, out of the blue, you are posting a bad report when instead you could have contacted me at any time to tell me you had decided do more of the work at once. I would have happily and promptly sent you a proposal and bid for the complete job that would reflect your exact needs and budget."
"Thank you! Pleasure working with you as well! Leo Norel"
"Very nice to work for you and your family on your beautiful home. I look forward to working with you in the future! Leo Norel"
