Deck or Porch - Build or Replace
This contractor is great! He works very hard, always pleasant and responsive. He keeps the work area tidy and has been very careful with our landscaping. The deck project is shaping up fast and he has made some construction suggestions that are valuable. I would definitely hire him again and would have no hesitation recommending Robert Almekinder Construction to our neighbors and friends.

Bob and his crew did all the repairs on our deck that we agreed to, explained in detail what needed to be done, and even found the source of the problem some distance away, an corrected it. When materials went beyond the original quote, Bob still honored the price. Bob and his crew are true professionals. I would recommend him to anyone. I found him to be friendly, knowledgeable, and very hard-working. The deck repair is solid, the work was completed on time, and the work area was totally cleaned up.

Sunroom or Patio Enclosure -Repair
Best contractor I have ever had!! Bob,Clinton and David (Whilt) were my favorite workers of all time. Showed up every day ,very, very experienced they worked together like a well oiled machine. I would highly recommend this crew to everyone. Remodeled my large patio and it looks like brand new. Loved them all!! Howâ s that Clinton? I mean every word.

Wood Stairs and Railings Repair
This contractor showed up to the project on time but failed to complete this wood and paint job correctly. These workers just painted over dry rot putting my stairs at risk of collapse and didn't follow through with what was agreed .

"Well actually you requested us to paint over the dry rot to seal it up, also for the price you paid to do the work for 5 hours. You should have done the job correctly and had your whole stair case RE- done. The stairs are now more structural then before and for a very cheap price. Your also welcome for doing it over the holiday for you,"

Bob is very knowledgable and skilled. He built a beautiful covered deck and fencing for me. He was also working on another project at the same time, so my job took a lot longer than I hoped. A couple times he didn't show up when he said he was going to. But in the end, he did an outstanding job and I am so pleased with the results!

At the last minute, I was told that Almekinder charges $250.00 for 1.5 hours work with no materials or parts.

Bob and his son Clinton arrived at my home at the exact appointed time he was scheduled to be here. Bob kept me posted when we had weather-related problems. As soon as the weather cleared up, Bob and Clinton were here on the job and stayed until they were finished replacing my catwalk. They did an amazing job and I would certainly not hesitate to hire them again.

Bathroom - Remodel
He started out good but then he didn't have time to do a lot of work so I had to have someone else do it. Hard to get him to finish the job then he wanted full pay but half the work was done by other people.

"This Lady misunderstood my information that I explained to her before I started the job. I asked her if It would be okay to bring a tile guy as he was more experienced in tiling bathrooms. The project turned out great and was finished within a week. She wrote a poor review out of anger that her whole floor at her new house that she had just bought had been flooded and needed major insurance repairs. I completed the bathroom repairs for her and helped to repair the house. It was not my fault she was under serious stress and had no reason to write a bad review about a person who helped get her house back to par."

My project was replacing wooden deck and porch railings with vinyl. The project had some difficult challenges to overcome so took some extra time and problem-solving.
