Rafael Becerra stated he was a licensed and boded contractor and both his business card and invoices state so. In searching I found he is not. He was at one time many years ago but not at the time of my contract. Mr. Becerra signed off on having the job completed by July 2, 2013 stating he could do it as he had alot of help. He stated he would work weekends and evenings to finish the job on time. When I would call him during the day I was told he was away from my house, therefore, he could not be overseeing the job or progress. The laminate flooring is coming up and is not level and I trip on it. The guest bath vinyl fllooring had to be redone. The laundryroom flooring had so much paint on it and in an attempt to remove it the floor was badly scratched so a new flooring was installed. Basically he did not complete a major portion of the job and what he did do was very unprofessional and sloppy. The painting was not complete, missed alot of walls did not go behind washer and dryer nor above cabinets, there was no cutting in to the walls for painting, no vinyl was laid in the cabinets, cabinets were not painted, etc., etc., On July 5, 2013 when I arrived home he and his wife were sitting in my living room stating they needed to be paid in full as they had to leave. Of course, stunned I asked what? They said they would be gone for a couple of weeks and I said no this job wasn't near being completed and they were past their deadline as it was. The wife was very angry, the son had left in the pickup truck before I arrived. I had given them the 3 large holiday lighted outdoor displays and the floor detailing machine but not only were they gone but everything on that side of the garage wall was gone, plus front hanging plant, damage to many items, garage floor was left with large pile of trash in the middle. I did not know at the time, but was told by the Sheriff's Dept that Rafael's son wears a police ankle monitor. There is far too much to list all the items not completed, the damage to items, plus missing items so I will just leave it at do not hire this man or his company.ol I have spent a lot of money trying to fix his work and complete the work he was to have done.
