Peerless Pools & Spas

We recently bought a house and Patrick Fournier (owner of Peerless Pools & Spas) had been servicing our pool for the previous owners. There was funny business about the pool sweeper and a long handled pool skimmer. The owners told us they left us their equipment. When we took possession of the house the long handled pool skimmer was gone and the pool sweeper was different than the one the previous owners used and it didn't work well. Patrick convinced me that he could get me a good deal on a new pool sweeper and leaf guard, said it would run about $800.00 and I needed to give him cash. I trusted him. Once the new equipment arrived we googled the equipment and realized we had been taken. Patrick charged us $800.00 for $400.00-500.00 worth of equipment. When we confronted Patrick and asked for some money back he hung up the phone on us. We have never owned a pool and deferred to Patrick only to get burned. One time he came and went without vacuuming the pool. I watched him come and go. The pool had leaves and things in the water when he came and it was still there when he left. When I asked him about it he said he had vacuumed the pool, but he hadn't. I saw his visit. So we called a new pool service. The new service inspected the pool and explained that the reason the sides of our pool were so dirty was because no one was using a brush on it. It wasn't being cleaned properly. Plus, there was a chemical imbalance, and it had gone on so long that the chemistry could not be corrected. The recommendation was to drain the pool. BEWARE Patrick is a fast talker and bragged about how honest he is and how he will take care of everything. I feel completely violated.
