They diagnosed the problem right away and it needed a part which they ordered and that took 2 days.  They gave me the name of the place from where I could rent a refrigerator which I did so that I did not lose all the frozen food.  They came back 2 days later and repaired it within an hour sop they were very good and even helped me figure out what to do in the mean time.  He seemed very knowledgeable, he diagnosed the problem immediately and said what the problem was, he ordered the part and that was the problem.  The refrigerator has been fine ever since.  I found them to be very professional and efficient.  They came when they said they would, diagnosed the problem, fixed it and everything was fine what else can one ask for.  It was covered under the home warranty.  I do not know what their price would be otherwise.

On 8/12/13, repair team installed a new compressor which fixed the cooling/freezing issue.  However, the new compressor is very loud and produces an annoying humming sound.  A complaint was made with Desert Appliances and we were told that the compressor that was installed is better than the original and that it's what was shipped from the factory when the replacement was ordered.
When the repair team came today to repair our dishwasher, they wouldn't discuss anything about the compressor noise or even acknowledge the noise problem.  This is extremely poor customer service when you won't stand behind your work for 30 days and your approach is not to discuss it at all.

It went very well they showed up to my tenents house on time, fixed the problem, the total cost was less than I thought, & much cheaper than a new washer & dryer, they called me from the tenents house an explained in detail what they fixed and the cost. An said they would bill me in the mail, not even knowing me they trusted me for the money. I recommend them highly, an will use them again.

The problem was not fixed however they said they would send me a bill so I called to make a new appointment but they never showed up and I never got the bill.  They were nice and I cannot complain.  I called several times but it would not reach anyone or then she could not give me an appointment that was doable because I was fixed on a time line from the gas company so I had to find somebody else.  As for their quality of work, it was kind of weird because I had four different companies here to fix the problem and all of them used like a gas detectors and this company was the only one without a gas detector.  The man told me that they don’t work properly so he used some kind of a pick solution which made bubbles.  So it is hard for me to judge that.  But they could not even repair it.  I won’t call them again.

I used another appliance repair company (not on Angie's List) who came and looked at repairing my ice maker. 
After looking at the unit the the service man reached down and turned the control knob (which clearly said do not turn manually )
and broke it off and handed it to me. He then explained I needed to replace the entire unit for $500 and when I declined service handed me his phone so his boss could twist my arm. I was not happy to say the least.
 Then Desert Appliance came out. they isolated the problem and fixed the part immediatley ( without replacing the whole unit) .
 This time around I went on line before they came over and looked at pricing for the different parts. They were right on and the labor charge was very fair. It was half the price that the first service repair company tried to get me to pay. 
A good deal and very professional.

They were very professional. They did the job quickly and cleaned up after themselves very well. They do not take credit cards they only take cash or check.

They are really good and I would recommend them to others.

He was great.  His costs were very reasonable.  He fixed the ice maker on the refrigerator.  He was unbelievably great.  I highly recommend them.

THEY GAVE A VERY GOOD IMPRESSION. THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND THOUGHTFUL OF MY FAMILY SITUATION. THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS VERY GOOD. THEY WERE EVERYDAY AVERAGE PEOPLE AND I FELT COMFORTABLE HAVING THEM IN MY HOME.
