Bert Ponce Contracting

The lock was installed efficiently and well. We were very happy with the service and professionalism. We would call him again for projects around our home.

He called first, arrived 10 min. early, and went right to work.  He was very respectful throughout the time he was here.

I was very pleased with Bert and his crew.   He  responded immediately to my inquiry, was prompt with his bid (slightly high but well within reason), set up a time and place for me to see his work in progress and willing to work within my time constraints.  His crew was always on time and worked steadily each day.  They were very polite and responsive to any of my needs:  I lived in my condo throughout the job.  The bid indicated the work would be done within 3 weeks and it was done well within this time frame including a final touch-up visit.  I liked the fact that except for the ceiling (sprayed), all painting was either done by roller or brush.  I was encouraged to point out any issues as soon as I saw them (blue tape) so that items could be taken care of immediately.  Because of this, the final touch-up session was very short as compared to other jobs I have been involved in.  Bert was very observant during the initial walk thru of my home and saw items that I should have done.  I agreed with his observations, so also had those few extra items done - mainly changing all the painted hinges to new updated hinges that matched the door knobs. He also was very helpful in setting up a session with one of his crew to help me rehang some of my heavier art items and any other jobs I needed help with.  
Though I don't recommend most people live in their home during this type of job, I have done this before and was well aware of the crazy living style that would occur.  Bert's men were very respectful of my privacy.   I took over one section of the home and when his crew was ready, moved to another.  I have a condo so not much room, but worked out well.  
 Bert had only one crew member that was not as particular about his personal work.  I did not make an issue of this since other crew members were aware and made sure this person's less than quality work was taken care of.  After the job was completed, I learned that this person was let go immediately following my job because he did not meet up with Bert's standards.  
I was very pleased with Bert's professional dealings.  He was prompt, fair, observant of his crew's work and very easy to deal with.  I would definitely recommend him to others.

I needed to prepare some units for families with small children.  I had to enhance the safety of the place and install some updated cooling equipment, including insulation and better doors and windows.  I needed to have some things done right that had been done wrong before.  Bert was courteous, professional, and reliable.  He has his own crew of workers, instead of contracting out the details, so he was on top of everything and everybody.  He pays his workers respectable wages and they keep regular work hours.  They didn't speed through the job as fast as I expected;  it was slow and steady, but the work got done and done the way I wanted.  It wasn't cheap, but I'd rather pay a little more for a calm and quality job.

Bert Ponce did a good job, it was great work. The model home that he had to show was beautiful and convinced me to use him. They never left the place in a mess ever, I could not have asked for a better contractor. He takes a lot of pride in his work and is very busy.
