Read this, before you take your car to Keith's Transmission Service! Keith's Transmission Service LOST my transmission and lied to me about it! After loosing my transmission, Keith's installed a broken, mismatched VIN, parts-bin-special transmission into my car and told me it was my original! I took my 4Runner to Keith's Transmission Service to rebuild the transmission, which was popping out of first gear. I chose this shop based on the Yelp ratings and because they told me that they offer a 3-year warranty (I called to confirm the warranty, before bringing the car in.) They quoted me a price of $1,850 with a maximum of $2,300 if additional parts are needed to "remove, rebuild and reinstall customer transmission." I was led to believe that the entire job was going to be carried out in house. At no point during our entire conversation was there any hint that they were going to farm out the job. They told me the job would take 4-5 days. 13 days later, I get a call that the car is ready to be picked up. When I get there to pick up my car, I was ushered into the office and presented with a bill of $2,299, and only a 1-year warranty. When I pointed out that Katie had told me I would receive their advertised 3-year warranty, Doug intervened saying, "that's for an automatic transmission, the best I can do is a two year warranty." Not wanting to start an argument, I accepted his offer, paid the bill in full, and stepped out to get my car. --This was the beginning of my nightmare! My car was a filthy mess. The tan interior was covered in black grease, pieces of the center consul were broken and left on the floor, the skid plates were covered in oil, the brand new slave cylinder bleeder valve was left uncovered, even the transmission cross-member was installed incorrectly!! Since it was late in the day and I was eager to experience my newly rebuilt transmission, I accepted the car as it was and proceeded to drive home. The next morning, my "newly rebuilt transmission" failed and exhibited the same symptoms as before I brought it to their shop. It was popping out of gear again!!! I contacted Doug right away to tell him what occurred. It was only then, that I found out that Keith's Transmission didn't do the repair themselves - instead they farmed it out to another shop. As if this was not egregious enough, the broken transmission they installed in my car was not even my transmission. Their subcontractor put together a transmission from an assortment of old and used transmissions he had in his shop. Keith's installed this non matching VIN, parts-bin-special transmission into my car; while telling me they were rebuilding my original! When I told Doug I wanted my original transmission returned, he fabricated a false narrative claiming that my original transmission was worn and could not be used. His subcontractor later confirmed to me that my original transmission was actually in great shape and that it was rebuilt, sent to different shop and installed in another customer's vehicle! I have asked Keith's Transmission Service to return my transmission and to refund my money. So far they have refused, insisting that I should bring my car back to them. With the experience I've had, I have lost all trust in this establishment and cant see how I could ever go back there. I now need to find a trustworthy shop to fix the mess Keith's made.

Keith's Transmission is your Go-To location for expert transmission service: they have been in the transmission business for decades; and offer great work at reasonable prices. Very pleased to have my truck back, now more responsive than when I bought it 8 years ago! Work was done quickly; and all issues discussed before repair were noted, resolved, and repaired. The work is very reasonably warranted to insure many more trouble-free miles of operation. Pre-emptive maintenance (additional seal replacements) was also done as well. I was allowed to observe suspect maintenance issues while the transmission was removed (easier access) to avoid later problems. Staff was very helpful; and understood my desire to keep this high-mileage vehicle running long-term (they cater also to other older/vintage car customers as well). In short: the work was well done, quickly...and at a reasonable price for all the service that was provided. While the rebuild cost might be higher than the 'Book value' of my old GMC, I now have my reliable, hard-working truck back...for the cost equivalent of only two new truck payments-that's a WIN for me!!

I needed transmission work done on my 2003 hyundai accent mike completed
the work in a timely fashion, he explained all the work that needed to
be done before he did it and he also fixed a few extra things that
needed to be done to my car, all in all I was happy and car is running
very well since.

Mike continued to work on our lexus transmission until he could work out all transmission problems. Our Lexus is a 2000 auto, with its own transmission problems. Mike solved most of these problems and continued to stress that his warranty is 100,000 miles. Can't beat this warranty.
AAMCO transmission companies are poor substitutes for quality work and warranties
