He was excellent, was very nice, did everything you asked him to do, even did more sometimes and was reasonably priced.

The work was perfectly okay but the guy took months and months to get to it. He didn't return my calls. He's no longer the owner. They had somebody else do the concrete work. They arranged it but I paid the other person separately. He was okay but he hardly ever answered my phone calls. Once I saw him, he appeared pleasant. They took six months. I had sleepless nights. The work itself is good and I like his design.

A wonderful experience. The work was quick and expert, and the results are beautiful. A bit more expensive than I was hoping for, but I feel satisfied that I got everything I paid for in terms of professionalism and quality of work. I will be using their services again for the more massive task of redesigning my back yard as well.

They were on time and very friendly. They delivered exactly what I wanted. It was great.

The Vietnamese gentleman had an attitude problem and couldn't understand my instructions. He even removed some items that I didn't want to be removed.

As with our first project, owner Mark Campbell was a pleasure to deal with. He kept us informed about when he expected to start our project and was available to discuss concerns, ideas etc. I really appreciate that when Mark started our project, he stayed with it until it was done. His crew was there every day except when the concrete was drying. He recommended an enhancement to our patio that we really like and built a walkway from the patio to the side door of the house. It looks great and is very functional. I wish we could have let him loose in the yard with an unlimited budget, but he was aware of our budget and worked within it. If we have additional projects in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to call him.

Mark Campbell met with us several times before the project started to discuss the the details and offer suggestions. We were very clear going into the project what we should expect. During the project, we consulted several times to make minor adjustments and to reaffirm some of our original plans. The crew was great. That is, they showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves every day...a really nice group. The end result was....well, better than we expected. I have only worked with one other contractor (interior remodeling) that performed at this level. Once they got started, they didn't waste time. The project was completed in 3 weeks as originally planed. Mark is difinitely in the right business. Garden of Eden will be my landscape contractor for as long as he chooses to stay in the business. I'm proud to state that our house is now the showcase of our neighborhood. Overall...a great experience with results that exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this contractor.

The final result was even better than we expected. Mark was able to book our project on short notice and got the project completed as promised. He came out to discuss what we wanted and he made a few suggestions and got to work. His workers were efficient and polite and didn't leave a mess at the end of the day. The deck looks great and the expanded green space was built flush with the deck - a great suggestion from the foreman. Mark was great about keeping me updated on the progress and I didn't feel like I needed to be there to supervise the project. The project came in just above the estimate due to additional changes that WE requested and Mark was able to incorporate with short notice.

We have a small rectangular boxed in sloping backyard in San Francisco, West of Twin Peaks, where the wind and fog wreak havoc on plants that grow in the warmer microclimates of San Francisco. Unlike many of the attached row houses in this area, our backyard is level with the first floor so it can be seen soon after you cross the threshold and it can't be ignored. Tired of battling the weeds and grass that only grows in the spring, I decided it was time to start over. After meeting Mark and his helpful and very organized assistant, Lauri, I knew I had found the right people to transform the backyard. Mark's practice is to only work on one project at a time which means you get all his attention and the job doesn't drag on endlessly. Although we didn't have detailed plans to work from, Mark and I talked about what would be the most practical and low maintenance design; something that would be inviting but not overdone. Mark is a good listener and communicates very clearly. He seemed to anticipate my questions and concerns and alleviate them. before they became issues

We found Garden of Eden on Angieslist from the start we had a good "feeling" about Mark and his team. This became evident in his responsiveness in our initial meeting for an estimate. He was cordial, professional and thorough. He was the 1st to submit his bid and followed up to see if we had any additional questions. Upon choosing Garden of Eden we had set an estimated start date and Mark followed up with us on a weekly basis to keep us abreast of the actual start (this was pending on the completion of his current project). We were actually moved forward of another job that doubled in scope. Mark's team were consistent, showed up on time, were extremely friendly and cordial to my family. This is a huge plus since we lived in a glass house and we were in view of the team on a daily basis. We never felt that our privacy was compromised and it was reassuring to know that the same crew showed up each day. The biggest bonus is that Mark will only take on one project at a time. We never had to wait or share the crew. Each day the crew worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. At the end of each day I would receive a call from Mark reviewing the day's progress and prepping me for what was to happen next or what I needed to get done so that they could get their work done. Mark's staffed work sooo hard, our property was on bedrock and they dug and pick axed away at the rock until the soil was right. I had an 10/18/09 deadline and they worked extra h****** the last week to get things completed... they even came in on Saturday to pull it all together. We still have a few more plants maturing at the nursery that will be implemented into the landscaping and we are still in contact with Mark on the status of things to be amended or updated. By far one of the best experiences I've had with contractors. Mark and his crew are extremely knowledgeable and quite helpful in making our design come to life.

Mark did a fantastic job. He was very honest and reliable. Mark came in a installed the deck and arbor with his crew in the time he had previously estimated. He also came in at a later time and finished the rest of our yard (grass, retaining wall, bark, and plants). His crew was very courteous and hard workers. We will definitely use him again.
