We were planning a full-scale remodel (completely new kitchen, 2 new bathrooms, new master suite) and figured we'd try this company for a smaller job first, to see if we were satisfied... sure glad we did.
Our salesman Howie showed photo after photo of all the exceptional work he'd done, on celebrity homes with famous clients spanning 30+ years, with wonderful letters of recommendation and praise. He bragged that we would be so happy with our bathroom, that we would of course hire them back to do the rest of our home remodel.
I don't know where to start with all the problems...
Cabinets: Fair, although we specifically asked for hardware-free drawers and doors, since this would eventually be our children's bathroom, but once installed, there wasn't enough room to fit our fingers, so we had to install handles.
Countertops: We asked for a low-cost countertop, and Formica was suggested. We didn't realized till after working with other contractors that this is rarely recommended for bathrooms, because of all the moisture...so we will likely need to replace it in a few years.
Shower: Once they ripped the floor out of our shower, they realized that they couldn't just replace the bottom part of the pan and tile, because it would eventually leak through the seams, so we had no choice but to completely re-do the entire shower stall, which added a week's worth of work & over $1000. While the tile guy was very nice, he did a horrible job, the tile is uneven through most of the shower, and I could have done a better job on the grout work (I have photos to prove it). My current contractor said he would NEVER recommend just repairing the bottom portion of a shower, because there will always be a seam that is likely to leak!
Paint: This is where my C grade turned to an F... the most horrible, lazy, sloppy paint job I have ever seen! They got paint all over the new countertops, the tile, they painted over patches that were never sanded, left globs of paint to drip and dry, it was almost comical! (More photos to come)
We  contacted their office several times, and at least twice the office manager Vanessa arranged to come out and see the work that was done, then cancelled at the last minute. She sent out Enrique, who was wonderful and helpful and really did try to fix things as best as he could, but he was very old and usually brought in kids to help him that didn't really know what they were doing.
This job was supposed to be done over Spring Break, so my husband could be present to oversee things. 2 weeks later, the bathroom was functional again, but still needed the grout and paint to be fixed.
This was in June, and now 3 months later, we haven't heard from the Home Pros once! They obviously have no interest in trying to fix the horrible work they did, because they got paid!
We ended up hiring another company to do the cabinets, painting, and tile work throughout the rest of our remodel, and couldn't be happier! We are so grateful that we decided to try out the Home Pro's before hiring them for the rest of our remodel. I wouldn't let them set foot in my new home to touch anything at this point, now that I know what professional, good work really is!!!
