Navarro Roofing

We were very happy. The bid was competitive. They were professional, punctual, and did not leave any mess. They did a great job and advised us on what to fix and what not to fix. They repaired flashing issues left by a previous roofer. We have Spanish clay tiles and they moved the classic tiles to the edge and brought new tiles for the area that was not visible, plus they mortared them to match the rest of our roof. We talked to a half dozen roofers before selecting this one.

There were issues with painting, roof leaks, and various other projects. He's working with us to get the project fixed to our satisfaction, but I wouldn't recommend him.

My roof is extremely sloped and installing the shaker tiles was not easy.  The crew took its time installing the roof to insure that the installation was done properly. They were extremely professional in all aspects of the job.  I would (and have) recommend John Navarro and his company with absolutely no reservation.

Work was very satisfactory.  The work was well done and looks very good.  John provided a well detailed written bid on the spot when he came to inspect the job site.  Job was originally estimated to take 3 to 5 days.  It actually took 12 days to complete construction.  His crew protected our tomato crop which was located in the tear off drop zone.  The crew cleaned up every night but I did inspect my driveway every night before putting my car away to insure there were no wayward nails.  One of the reasons we chose this company was because they only asked for full payment upon job completion.  We put nothing down and made no progress payments.  It was nice and convenient to only write one check when the job was complete.
Note for anyone contracting this kind of job:  Tear off generates a lot of dirt and trash that drops into your attic.  If you have stuff stored in your attic, recommend you protect it from this dirt somehow.  Cover it, move it or something.  This has nothing to do with our contractor, I just wish we had known how much dirt was going to be generated so we could have covered up some of our stuff.

At the time our home was purchased, a recent room addition had taken place where a flat roof was installed. We started having problems with leaks in the last three years and finally with the rain had become far worse that initially thought. We had reached out to John three years ago, but since it had not rained, we sort of shelfed the project. In any case, we called him back, he called us back immediately, came out to do another estimate and had scheduled us right away. His team showed up when they were supposed to, completed the job quickly between storms and with the last storm, roof passed with flying colors! We are very happy with the service and responsiveness and will hire Navarro roofing back to do our main roof in a couple of years.
I wrote zeros on the approximate cost because everyone's situation is different but we did pay what we felt was a more than fair and reasonable cost.

Everything went well.  Owner, John, came out in the afternoon and checked to make sure everything was satisfactory. 
We had a very hard rain last night, and no problems with the roof!

How did things start...I contacted the company and an estimate was done. They started shortly after and did a fantastic job.  The estimate was for 10,000 and at the end, it came to be 15,000.  
I was told they would keep the inside of my garage clean however that was not done. 
When the staff left each night, the place was spotless.  Not a nail on the ground.  The job was to take about 4 days however it was longer.  
I know I paid extra for this roof as other companies did give me a lower quote however the lower quote is not always the best.
I was very pleased with the quality of the roof.  I had it inspected upon completion by the City of Downey.  It was done well.  
I must say, I would recommend this company.  This is not a paid advertisement.

Great Job and Great Quality

Mr. Navarro responded promptly to my initial  request. He was on time and his quote was the most reasonable  for the work to be done. His workers arrived on time and completed the job in a very timely manner. The  work exceeded my expectations. They even painted the roof accessories to match the overall color of the roof and building. I will definitely use his services again in the future.

John was professional and his workers did the job quickly and effectively.  It would have been nice if his workers spoke some English because John was not present when the work was done.  Communication with them was a little bit difficult.

Tearing off three layers of old roof and completely replacing it only took about a week. They worked fast and the job was done very well.

at the time, they were one of three roofers that returned call within reasonable time frame. so i actually picked him because of initial responsiveness and his original quote was fair. but as they had to start replacing beams and it added up quickly. i had to have some support beams replaced. this was really not an issue either. old house, i knew we would need some new wood to hold the thing up. however, he said they had to be cut to the old size, blah blah, and definitely charged me a premium for it. i was not expecting this, and now realize it was totally unnecessary as no one would be looking to see if all the beams matched in thickness. they were neat and fast, that was good.
after the fact however, he did not respond to any follow up calls. they didn't paint some of the new beams as they said they would, and they "accidentally" took one of my tall ladders. that p***** me off! i called to ask them to check it out and get it back and come paint the few places they "forgot." he never returned my call. then i called again about a permit/inspector issue, and he didn't call back this time either. that's the only reason i wouldn't hire him again. he did the work and then was gone like the wind. whether he felt he did not need to call me back or not...that was unprofessional customer support after the fact. i've moved on to new roofers.

Straight forward quote, did what they promised, cleaned-up after themselves.

Very smooth, very profession.  Roof looks great.  Very responsive when first asked for bid and timely when starting work.

Very professional.  Covered all the details (even some we did not think about).  Showed up & kept at it till the job was completed.

The owner met me at the property the day after I contacted him through Angie's list, and provided the estimate.  The work was completed the next day.  He advised that I would need a roof within 3 years, but did not pressure me to replace the roof.  They also repaired a roof for my brother, and my brother was happy with the work.  I would definitely use them again.

I contacted many roofing companies and they all demanded a minimum charge of between $500 and $750, even though the work was a 1/2 hour project involving patching two small holes.  Navarro was the only company that was willing to charge a reasonable fee.  They were right on time for the appointment and fixed the holes in the roof competently.    They solved my problem in an efficient manner.  I am pretty unhappy with the roofing industry in this town, as I have so far experienced it with other companies.   Navarro restored my confidence in professionalism in this field.

John came promptly when I called when water leaked from the first floor ceiling of my two-story house.  Diagnosing the problem was a tough.  John and his crew used a garden hose on the roof to determine the location of the leak.  They showed-up daily on time.  They cleaned up after themselves every day.  They were quick and efficient and always willing to answer my questions.  There is a 10 year warranty on the job.
