I called for maid service, and was given an account rep. I asked for biweekly service. I was given a four-hour arrival window, which I said was not acceptable. I was then given a two-hour arrival window for the first visit, but a four-hour arrival window for the next visit, two weeks later. Two maids came for the first visit, as promised. They were very slow (did I mention this company charges by the hour?) but thorough. The same two maids were scheduled to come two weeks later, and were scheduled to arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.. They were to call my cell when they were on their way, to let me know they were coming. When they had not called by 12:15, and it was obvious they were not going to show up during the four hour window, I called the company to see if the company could locate them. The company was closed. I left a message. At about 12:45, I sent an email telling the company not to bill me for the visit, since they hadn't shown up. About 10 minutes after that, they called my HOME number saying they were on their way. I told them not to come. The company didn't call me on Monday, so I called them to make sure they didn't charge me for the visit. My account rep was not available, so I spoke to someone else. She said the maids came to my house at 12:15, and I wasn't home (which is false). I told the woman that I was home, that I was waiting for them, that I had left a message with their company about 12:15, and that the women called my home number at 12:55 and reached me. I suggested that the rep check the maids' cell phones. She asked for a copy of my email regarding the failure to show up at my house, which I forwarded. She asked what it would take to get me to try the service again, and we agreed to a 25% discount and a 2-hour arrival window, with different maids who would call before they got here. The maids didn't call but arrived early. This wasn't a problem. These two rushed through my house, did not do a good job (leading my children to wonder if their beds had even been changed - they had) and somehow managed to trigger the lock on my bedroom door. We have no key to that lock. The maid said it wasn't her fault. Well, whose fault was it, then? I spent some time trying to unlock the door and ultimately had to call a locksmith. The maids were very bitter. I sent another email, directing the company not to charge me because with the short time, the discount and the locksmith, I figured it would be a wash. I told them if they wanted to charge me, they should call me first. They never contacted me and yup, they charged me. I can't figure out the basis for the charge. I will raise this with my credit card company. I would avoid at all costs. An unethical, unreliable company with bad maids on top of it.
