The old roof was replaced and the new roof installed. They did not begin the process when they stated but the quality and workmanship was good once the work had begun and was completed.

The workers were professional. We were told names of all the contacts from owner to production manager. Received a good presentation of product. We had to decide at that time to get the better deal!
Someone came out to remeasure and then work began in about 1 week.
The working crew was courteous and professional. We had trouble communicating at times because we were often outside checking the work and asking questions. So we asked to please have an English speaking person.
They did a great job and we were very happy with our home.
They came out once to repaint a paint blister on a fascia board.

For years our adobe tile roof was giving us huge trouble. It seemed like every few years the roof required a different repair. Finally, we decided to do away with the adobe altogether. A few of our neighbors contracted Exterior Solutions with positive results. So, we gave them a shot, too.
The Consultation and Estimation
We gave them a call, and set up an appointment for a free consultation and roof inspection. The roofing specialist was a nice, informative, and professional gentleman. We were most impressed by his sensitivity to our needs and preferences for our home. We had a pretty specific list of "dos and don'ts", and we was great about meeting our expectations. So, we went ahead, and signed the contract.
Demolition Day
The roofing crew arrived a couple days later to start the job. I can't tell you how happy I was to see all those terracotta tiles get hauled away to the dump. The new roof was up on the house in about a week, and we are very pleased with the new look of our home.
Exterior Solutions was always prompt with our requests or questions. There were a few times when we were unable to get a hold of someone to speak to. But, when we did, they were apologetic about missing our calls. I guess they're just that busy (who knows?).
Our New Home

My family and I are very happy with our new roof, and the great new look of our home.

The exterior paint crew did a good job and a satisfactory clean up upon completion.  They also responded to all my requests.
The project manager Mark contacted me daily about the progress and next day crew arrival times.
The roof stripping crew was fast and did a satisfactory exterior clean up.  However, the attic area was littered with old wooden
shingles, that I later had to remove and dispose of.  Overall, Exterior Solutions does very good work, the stucco, siding, and roof look great.  Their office personnel communicate well with the client, the sales personnel can be somewhat persistant.  I would use this
contractor again with no hesitation.

What a nightmare! Let me say what went well before going into what didn't: The new windows in our home look great and are great quality. The men who came and did the installation were fantastic; polite, punctual and professional. Now for the reasons my husband and I would not do business with them again: Manny who came to show and sell us the product on the first meeting, was a little pushy and a quick talker but in the end we liked the product, negotiated a price, signed a contract. We were very particular about the terms of the financing and let him know we would not accept nor could we afford anything different from what was agreed upon. We specifically told him that if that financing could not be produced we would not be able to move forward with the job and we wanted to ensure everything was in place before work began (dates for measurements and install were scheduled right away).  He said we would be contacted by someone who worked in finance the following day and would confirm the terms of the financing went through. After a couple days of not hearing from anyone I called the main office; I left 3 messages (different days) on the main line and never heard back (they have a dial by name directory but our salesman wasnt on there and we only had first names for everyone else). Someone showed up at our house to do the scheduled measurements, he said he would get someone to call asap.  Right before install was scheduled a different guy, Mike, called and we had a very specific conversation about the terms of the contract and financing in which he informed me terms were met and financing was approved as per contract. The installation began...after the second to last day of the install (almost everything was finished) a rep called wanting to re-confirm our financing terms and we were told that the financing we were promised did not go thru and we had to adhere to new terms of financing that did (the very ones that we specifically said we did not want to use). I immediately went to our signed contract and read the small print to the representative which clearly stated that if the agreed on financing could not be furnished we had to be notified in writing before work began and if no agreement could be reached then the existing deal was void. This situation began weeks of back and forth conversations with reps one of whom came to our home to try to convince us to take a line of equity out on our house! Unbelievable! Keep in mind during this time our home remained in an unfinished state. They denied ever calling us and telling us the financing was approved, they also tried to convince us that the original sales guy, Manny, wasn't even authorized to negotiate financing with us.  In the end, I had to speak with a lawyer and eventually the company decided to give us a discount on the job so that the original financing could be met.  I knew the contract I had was iron clad but not until I mentioned the lawyer would they budge. I was also disappointed that while this entire spectacle was going on, the owner, Craig Carson, never reached out to us. In the end, the only reason I didnt give them an F is because the product itself we love, the workers who did the installation were great and there was one finance representative introduced late in the game, Marissa, that was actually professional, responsive and helped us get through the whole ordeal; She was our saving grace in this deal and a very nice young woman.  If you do decide to work with the company be careful... make sure your contract is solid, be very thorough, and ask for Marissa to help you through.

Exterior Solutions first came to do our roof-they did a great job with excellent materials, they were prompt, done in 3 days and did a fantastic clean-up of the entire job. We were very happy with the work so had them come back to texcote the entire house. Again, prompt, finished quickly, and cleaned everything. Angel gave great suggestions for color and paint--they even got our paint custom made for us from a swatch I had gotten from a paint store--and they gave us the leftover paint in case we ever need it. In one year our house went from being one of the worst looking to just about the best on our block--our stucco was in TERRIBLE shape and the Texcote is fantastic. I will say that both times their original quotes were outrageous but they can be pretty easily negotiated with--the roof was slightly (maybe 500) over the other bids but they included all materials including wood repairs, which the other companies would not guarantee--and they finished it in 3 days. The same story with the texcote--we got them down to come down 60% from the original bid--so if you like to negotiate a bit...overall I think we paid a little bit more than we might have with someone else but we were extremely pleased with the service and the quality of work.
