T Moreno Tile Co

I had worked with Mr. Moreno and his team (T. Moreno Tile Co.) previously on renovating a bathroom shower and was quite satisfied with their work. I contacted them first when I wanted to put in a small (12 square feet) tile backsplash in our kitchen. Overall, I'm happy with the look of the tile (see before and after photos). They also cleaned up after themselves. However, I remain quite dissatisfied with how the negotiating and project completion processes went. I am unlikely to work with this company again or recommend it to others. I described the work I wanted to be done to Mr. Moreno and we verbally agreed on it. He did not offer, nor did we ask to get the estimate in writing. I strongly encourage you to do so if you are considering working with this company. Mr. Moreno did not complete what he verbally had agreed to do based on the original bid (move the stove back and install a row or two of tiles below the edge of the stovetop), added charges on to the initial quote, and did not offer to fix an electrical problem that his company created.

We were looking for someone to replace our cement driveway
with pavers. Over a period of months we received six proposals with the highest
being $1,600 higher than the lowest. We decided to explore the possibility of
T. Moreno Tile Company which was the lowest bid. We asked for and received
references for recent jobs done by T. (Tommy) Moreno. They gave excellent
reports of Tommy?s work. We went ahead with Tommy because, in addition to having
a very detailed description in print of what his company would provide for the
$4900.00 we were going to pay, we liked how he presented himself and described
the work he does and what we would receive if we decided to go with his
company.
Based only on our word that he could go ahead, he did not
even require us to sign a contract. Much to our surprise and delight, he
started the job the following Monday with six men on the job and finished the
entire project the next day. We viewed the men working under Tommy?s
supervision and we saw how careful they were in clearing the cement driveway,
putting in the necessary road base, leveling with sand, and placing the pavers.
We watched them carefully cut the individual pavers to fit our required
herringbone pattern. They used the appropriate compacting equipment and sanded
the surface as required.
We were delighted with Tommy?s and his six workers?
courteous manner, the savings in cost, the expert craftsmanship, and the final
result. During the past year we have had a number of large projects completed
on our house and worked with a number of contractors and workmen. Tommy and his
workers provided us with the best possible work at great savings. We highly
recommend T. Moreno Tile Company and would be happy to speak with anyone to
answer questions.
