came within 5 hours of call, was there 2 hours, made sure all was clear. I think it was expensive but it did take him awhile to clear it all, and they came faster than anyone else could.

We made an appointment to have our old dishwasher removed in preparation for installing a new one to be delivered on the same date. The appointment was to include the following: removing the old dishwasher, installing a new one, putting in a new kitchen sink, faucet and disposal. I explained to the plumber when I made the appointment that the old dishwasher had to be out in order for the delivery crew to haul it away. I also wanted the water line run for the ice maker on my new fridge.
What happened was this: On Monday I made an appointment for 8 am  Thursday to have the old dishwasher removed. I did not yet know what time the new one would be delivered  on Thursday as the delivery service does not notify customers of the time until the day before. So, I asked for a second appointment for late in the day to install the new dishwasher but suggested that they could install the sink, faucet and disposal after removing the old dishwasher. The plumber I made the appt. with declined to give a price on the premise that they had to see the kitchen before locking in a price.
The plumber did not come at 8 am, but showed up a few minutes before 9 am. He dithered and dallied before barely removing the dishwasher before the deliverymen arrived with the new one. He bid over $500 to install the new dishwasher and over $600 to install the sink, faucet and disposal. With the waterline for the fridge the total bid from Husted was $1800.  I was shocked as this company had repaired my water heater competently at a very fair price and I trusted them. They justified the extraordinary bids by saying they were licensed plumbers. I received a competing bid from another licensed plumber for $175 to install the new dishwasher. Likewise, I received another competing bid from another licensed individual for $900 to do all of the above work. We cancelled all of the work with Husted except removing the old dishwasher. The Husted plumber left the kitchen sink inoperable and it remained so for several days until we arranged the installation of our new dishwasher. My husband and I are both senior citizens. This was not a good experience for us. Ultimately, we had all of the work performed by a licensed individual for under one quarter of the Husted's bid.

Craig is (apparently) a one man shop. It was a little difficult to get a hold of him, but he did call me back the same day. His business is located in Carp so I thought my Ojai address would be out of area for him. However, he came over in the early evening (after work) and took care of the problem. He worked quickly and efficiently --- AND CLEANED UP afterwards (always a PLUS!).

Response good, work good, price reasonable.

It went well.  The person who came to the house was very courteous and respectful.  They came on time and did a good job removing the clogged in out drainage.

Amazing.  He came very quickly, was on time and didn't give up until he pulled out a gigantic root from the drain.  And the drain works great now.
I also found out from the prior tenants that they had called numerous plumbing services and no one had been able to clear it.  They had eventually given up.  
Craig was great.

He's a great plumber and did exactly as said.  We are very satisfied with the job he performed.  Even the faucet he provided is very nice.
The overall cost of the job was too high I believe.  When I initially called him and asked him his hourly rate he did not tell me, instead said he may be able to just come out and bid the job.  We ended up with a few small jobs for him to do and instead of just charging his hourly rate he bid all the small jobs, each one at over $100.00, resulting in a much larger final bill than I was expecting.  My wife not knowing the normal costs of plumbers just paid him.
I will use him again, but not in his bidding process way.

We needed a plumber at the last minute (and on Saturday), and after seeing great reviews on Angie's List, I gave them a call. Craig was so nice and professional and came right out. He did an excellent job, cleaned up after himself, and I recommend Husted Plumbing without any reservations . . . I think you'll be quite satisfied with their service.

I found my bathroom floor flooded out to the hallway. After I wiped up the water and shut off the toilet valve I called Husted Plumbing. I had to leave a message but he returned my call in less than 3 minutes, said he was on another job and it would take a few hours. The toilet was no longer leaking and I knew it wasn't the sink since the floor was dry below those valves. so I waited.
After he arrived he quickly discovered it was a leak between the toilet tank and bowl. He forewarned me sometimes when you try to remove the tank a toilet can crack. My toilet was made in 1939! I kept my fingers crossed. He was careful, professional and replaced the gaskets and bolts while not damaging my very old, but still functioning. toilet. 

Husted Plumbing was Great! They exceeded my expectations. My Kitchen
drain was plugged up. I called Husted, and they quoted me $99 to clear
it. We set a time. A very nice gentleman came out and performed the
work. He was prompt and friendly. It took him about 45 minutes to snake
out my drain. Everything went fine, and he charged me exactly what he
quoted me. Husted is the best contractor/vendor that I have used so far.

In need of an emergency drain cleaning I contacted Husted Plumbing early in the morning. Craig immediately set up an appointment for a couple of hours later and showed up promptly. Very knowledgable  and helpful. Identified the problem and snaked two separate lines for us resolve our issues. Charged exactly what he quoted, carefully checked to make sure the issue was resolved and throughly cleaned up when they were done. Would highly recommend them again. Very pleasant people to work with.

It was the first time we had used them. It went well. He was on time and did a good job.

Arrived punctually. Very pleasant and competent. Would definitely be my first  choice for future jobs.

They are great. They are prompt and very fair with their pricing. They are dependable, they do great work and i would highly recommend them.
