From start to finish, our kitchen remodel project was handled with complete professionalism. The workers showed up on time every day, and all surfaces were carefully covered to protect from dirt and dust. Ed Lane supervised the job with attention to detail, concern for our time and inconvenience, troubleshooting when needed, and patience with my occasional indecision! We could tell that he wanted the final and quot;revealand quot; of our new kitchen to be something that we would absolutely love, and we definitely do!
All workers were meticulous about cleaning up at the end of the day, and on the final day, we actually had an and quot;armyand quot; of workers here to make the place and quot;shineand quot;!
I would definitely recommend VHC Home Improvements to anyone interested in quality construction and professional service. It's nice to have someone who cares about your home as much as you do!

Ed, the company owner, called about the rating and the problems. He came out and had the electrician come out too. The electrical problem was a bad GFI outlet and has been replaced. Ed returned the next day and put a damper into the hood vent flue. This round of rain, no wind came down the flue. Nothing can change the treatment by the job site supervisor from 2009 but he is not with them any more. Ed said he supervises all of the jobs now and he said they number 4 to 5 a month not the 45 a month from 2009. I am considering another job with them.

Right off the bat, the first day they were supposed to come at 9 am and they didn't show up until 1:45. They took four days to complete the work even though they told me it would take 1 and a half to two days. The price in the contract was not the same price they charged me. They gave me a lower estimate in the contract and I assumed that would be the final cost. They didn't return my call about a cupboard door that wouldn't stay closed.

VHC had a special on their work and I had to do a double take because of how cheap it was. They did a really nice job and did it all in just 2 and a half weeks for the entire kitchen. They also threw in a free new garden window plus added some free molding. They went by my budget when choosing all appliances. When they installed the granite countertop, they were out in the rain cutting the granit to get it into the house. He got me a discount on my sink by talking to the people at the countertop place and making a deal with them since I was getting both things there. What I did find interesting is most workers were Russian but they were on the mark, they did not mess around. There was a mirror that was cracked in one of the rooms and they ended up doing it for me after I bought the mirror. It took them two time to do it as he broke the first one when replacing it and they paid me for it. They did a really good job and what I paid for it I cannot complain.

They did a darn good job. I liked that they came in and worked solid. It took about 3 weeks and they were here every day that they said they would be. They did a great job. I walk in the kitchen each morning and I can't believe it is mine. They did an excellent job. It was a little expensive but I've lived in this house since 1986 and it needed to be done. I had to call them back once and they came right away, but it turned out to be a light bulb that I didn't turn. They were very professional. The crew was very personable and pleasant.

Working with the company was difficult. I had some concerns about the way they didn’t seem to have a healthy respect for building codes. They seemed to have a lackadaisical approach in getting inspections done and so forth. Some of the workers were not properly supervised. There seemed to be a communication problem between the workers and my wife. Also, the workers would show up without being properly instructed. We had to call the management to try and instruct them on how to do the work.

The experience went pretty well with the exception of a new foreman being hired after our job had already started. Since he had not been with us from day one, we felt his knowledge of the job was a bit lacking and caused some confusion. Probably would have been fine had he started with us from the beginning. Most of the workers were VHC's own employees and they were all very competent and talented. Would consider this a B+ job.
