Auto Service
I have been going to this establishment for oil changes for some time and had no problems. I recently received a card and coupon for a discount oil change in the mail that said the business was under new ownership, Mitchell Southwick. I took my pickup in for an oil change with the coupon, got the advertised price and had no problem. I then returned with my car and they said since I'd just been in they would give me a discount on this second oil change. How nice, I mistakenly thought!! After the 2nd oil change was completed they informed me that I needed another almost $200 of work done on my car---this is the car that was recently checked out by AAA and found to have no problems. This did not give a me a good feeling about the business. After I returned home from the 2nd oil change I looked at the paper work and saw that instead of deducting the "discount" they had added it to the total, making what I paid more than the advertised sign posted at the location (regular price $16.95 which I had confirmed on the phone and Manager's Special price of $14.95). Also I see I was charged $3.89 a quart for one vehicle and $2.89 a quart for the same type of oil for my other vehicle. There were other billing inconsistencies between 2 exact same oil changes. I went back to talk to them about it and was told that my car did not qualify for either of the advertised prices posted (they did not say why the truck qualified and the car did not) but that I had the $29.95 service. I disputed that since it was the same oil change done on both vehicles. They said they had discounted the service and I would have to pay the higher price. I told them I was very unhappy with that and that I would not be returning if that is the way they did business. Their reply was "Okay." I will not patronize this establishment again, at least not until they are under another "new ownership". Their billing is apparently just at the whim of who writes up the service order, I'm suspicious of the added work they want to perform and their customer service is non-existant.
