California Family Fitness

They are not a franchise but same company. It has great family atmosphere and I have been a member of three other gyms in my life and when you go to a gym you see a lot of real studly guys like lifting weights and everything and you get intimated and they look at you like, and ldquo;Oh look at this little guy that just walked in hereand rdquo;, but in California Family Fitness its really casual and women don't feel like meat market and they don't feel self conscious when they go in there and everything and I heard this from women too. They also have a wide range of amenities like pool and sauna. Regarding pricing they are little high.

It is a good place to go work out, there is lots of equipment.

The first thing I want to say about CFF is that I've tried other fitness centers in the past and never stuck to it. I have been at CFF for five years and still use it regularly. I mostly go to classes because that's my thing, but the fitness equipment is great too. The front desk staff always smiles; says hello and good-bye. The instructors for the classes are excellent; I haven't taken a bad class yet. The personal trainers are also very helpful and knowledgeable. When I joined, I got 3 free classes with a personal trainer, who showed me what machines to use and how many reps in order to reach my fitness goals. I have a membership where I can use 6 or 7 different clubs in the area, but if I want to use one of the and quot;nicerand quot; (i.e. newer and more posh) ones I have to pay extra. I only use the two clubs in Carmichael. I am in my late 50's and there are lots of other people my age and older; it seems to be a range of ages from teens to 70's. It's a low key environment; nobody is showing off their latest workout clothes, or flexing their muscles in front of the mirror. They also have a daycare for parents (which I don't use, but it's a great service.) I pay $44/mo. which is automatically debited from my checking account. My only negative comment is that I wish the two Carmichael clubs were more updated and as posh as some of the newer ones (like Natomas, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights.) I went to the Natomas a couple of times and it was way nicer (more and newer equipment, indoor pool, to name a few differences.)

I really like this location. I work with a personal trainer, and I love it.

I just did. I had a very nice guy interviewing me at first, and then he showed me around. Once I was enrolled, I got fitness training and into my wonderful yoga classes. Everyone is very nice, including the people at the desk who are very helpful. I forgot, they gave me a T-Shirt for free after I was done with personal training. Great!!!

I've been going to California Fitness going on two years now and I am very satisfied with their service. They have a wonderful staff that is always willing too help you out, and also greet and chat with you. I've experienced their tanning packages and group fitness classes. I regularly attend the body sculpting classes which are hard but produce great results! Many of their classes work well with my job and school schedule and are fun to do as well!
