Brooks Tile

I cannot praise enough the work that Mat's team did. Sergio with Mat's son as an assistant, did all the installations. The backsplash was copper 2x2 tile with glass accents. It's beautiful. My husband was particularly impressed by how well Sergio lined up the grout lines. The tile removal and replacement was just perfect. On removal, no adjacent tiles were cracked or damaged. There is no clue that tiles were removed and replaced. Sergio made a nice pattern on the drip area. We also asked Sergio to cut a group of tiles that my husband needed for a project of his. Sergio was kind enough to not only cut the tiles but improved the tile layout before he cut it. We added a few items to the bid so Mat needs to revise his estimate. We got several bids prior to selecting Mat so we know his cost is very competitive.

The hardest part for me was making a decision of what I wanted including type/color/size of tile and design.  The owner/estimator came out and measured.  He urged me to re-think the design and type of tile because what I was requesting was very common and ordinary, and the backsplash was to go over a beautiful custom granite counter top.  After a day or so, I contacted the office assistant to ask delaying the estimate because I was going to change the tile and design to something less simple and ordinary but stylishly elegant and mediterranean.  It took me two months to locate beautiful, custom tile and colors that blended perfectly with the color and hue of the granite.  I am very glad that I took the advice of the owner/estimator.  Once I emailed my tile order and design example, I was provided the estimate within a week.  I was not in a hurry to get the job done and happy to wait until they could schedule the work to be performed.  The installer and assistant appeared promptly on the day scheduled and were very knowledgeable.  The installer took extra time to communicate with me to determine exactly what I wanted and to work out the details.  I felt at ease in this communication relationship.  The installation took one full day, and the assistant came out the next day to apply the grout.  So total time was 1-1/2 days.  
The install over the gas cook top was tricky and involved a centerpiece that was about 12" x 20", surrounded by two rows of 1" x 1" tile, which was surrounded by "chair rail" applied to make it look like a framed picture, and around that went the wall tile.  This part alone took about two hours to put into exact placement.  I was delighted that the installer was as picky as I.
The final result was absolutely beautiful.  Afterward, I had an episode where grease splashed from the cook top was absorbed by the grout in an area, and so I contacted them to ask about application of a coat of grout sealer and was told the grout already has sealer in it, but I was told what they recommend to apply for extra protection and also gave me the name of a lady whom I could hire to apply the grout sealer, which I did.  I am in love with the back splash and definitely recommend using this company.  I will contact them the next time I need any tile installed.

I had Brooks install tile twice in my home.  A few years ago we replaced our kitchen wood floor and three bathroom floors with tile.  They did an excellent job and to this day we are still thrilled with the result. Best yet, my wife is happy with the result.
They just finished another much smaller job in the same home,  They were punctual and again did a great job.  My wife was very particular and wanted some touch ups.  They came back three times to make sure we were completely satisfied and never complained.  In fact, they were very pleasant and always asking if there was anything else needed for us to be completely satisfied.
The installers were very hard working professionals and very pleasant.  They lined carpeted the areas they were going to be working in to keep things clean.  When finished, they also did an excellent job cleaning up.
The owner Mat called again to make sure we were completely satisfied.  Truly outstanding service (for such a small job) and I highly recommend them. I don't write many reviews, but the service I received was truly outstanding so that deserves recognition.

Kitchen floor tile and kitch backsplash.

3 Day job which was performed very professional.  Floors and counter tops were protected from damage.  Cleanup was very good.  Showed up on time.  Very pleased.  Would recommend Brooks Tile to anyone requiring tile work.

The work was very professionally done.  Mat and his team, Scotty, Alex, Sergio, Jose and Val, are all outstanding.  Each individual went above and beyond in doing their work.  The team also paid excellent attention to detail.  In addition, Mat's sub-contractors, Sash with Counter-Fit and Mike with Performance Plumbing Services, were also excellent.  We could not be more pleased with the work that was performed and quality of our new surfaces.  
I really appreciated how patient Mat was as we interviewed and compared other contractors and their bids and as we determined the products that we wanted to use.  Mat was highly recommended but so were the other three contractors.  Since Mat is a member of NARI (the National Association of the Remodeling Industry), it simply made since to give Mat our business.  We are so glad that we selected him to do the work.  The experience, from beginning to end, exceeded our expectations.  I can't recommend Mat Brooks and Brooks Tile more highly.

The job went very well.  Mat's guys were on time every day and the whole process took less time than I had expected.  I appreciated Mat's willingness to explain the process, to be on site part of the time and keep tabs on the job, and to coordinate work with Counter Fit so I didn't have to schedule that on my own.  (I had planned to find a countertop contractor on my own, but Counter Fit did a great job.)  Clean up was thorough and the finished job looks great.  Mat is easy to communicate with and is concerned with the quality of his team's work.  He is also a NARI member.  The price was good, too.  Highly recommended.
