Dave Willoughby is the king of lawn care. We have had trouble with our back yard for years, with thinning grass due to the type of bermuda we had; it just looked terrible. As we were selling our house, we knew we needed to make a change. Late in the season this year, we hired Mr. Willoughby. While other companies recommened aeration and fertilization, Mr. Willoughby said aeration wasn't necessary, but he had a variety of treatments including hormone treatments that would pep up the lawn. Within weeks, for the first time in years (and after many other companies), we had a lush, green, beautiful yard. It was truly miraculous. We went from having the worst backyard on the street to the best in a matter of weeks.A couple things you need to know about Willoughby Lawn Service, though..... It is about $20 more per treatment than other lawn services, but you get what you pay for. Also, Mr. Willoughby has very definite thoughts about what you should be doing with your lawn care. He will give you a precise watering schedule (though it changes with time based on season and treatments), and if you're not willing to commit to the watering schedule, he won't be interested in working with you. In return, you get the best lawn you've ever had!
