Great experience!  Made an appointment for Fred to check operation of my garage door.  He was on time, friendly, glad to answer all my questions.  He added tension to the springs, checked the operation, lubricated the appropriate parts and checked the safety features.  No  pressure to purchase anything I didn't need.  I  had a bad experience with another company and have become leery about  being told I need parts ...  Fred is now my go to guy for my garage door.  Thanks Fred!

Called him to get estimate and he came in the next day. Had a problem with the sensors, came back the very same day fixed it!!! I would highly recommend him.

The night before I heard a big and quot;BOOMand quot; and couldn't figure out what had happened. I realized shortly thereafter when my garage door would no longer open what had happened... both springs had snapped in half!

I called Tri-City Overhead Door early in the morning, and Fred was able to fit me in between calls early that afternoon... he even arrived early! Fred was very professional and got the work done quickly. He explained to me what he was doing and why he was doing it. The cost was extremely competitive and I was very pleased with the work.

I did not "comparison" shop, but I talked to a friend who had automatic garage door problems who called a nationally known garage door installer/repairer. he paid $500, so I figured I was reasonably charged.

After having contacted several contractors to request help on a door needed for our shed that is an uncommon size and set up, we were faced with the dilemma of no one willing to come up with a solution for us....until we met Fred.
Fred was not only willing to take on the job, he seemed delighted to take on the challenge. He followed through on his plan and was meticulous down to the last detail. He worked efficiently, carefully, and took pride in his finished product. We are happy with our new rodent-proof door on our shed. And to add to all of the advantages of hiring Fred, his cost was extremely reasonable.
Fred also replaced two garage door openers with LiftMaster 8550s. He did a fantastic job, adjusted the and lubricated the doors, all for the very reasonable price of $800.

We are currently recommending Fred to our daughter and son-in-law who live in Placentia for a garage door opener they need. Fred comes from Oceanside and he can install the high quality garage opener with the utmost of care for less than a contractor from Orange County has quoted them.

Called first thing in the morning after running in to a problem with our garage door opener the night before. Left a message and received a call back within minutes. After explaining the problem Fred said he could come by before one of his appointments and said he'd be out within an hour. he arrived as promised, evaluated the situation and made a couple suggestions on how it could be repaired. He was able to fix the problem quickly and at a fair price. Would definitely use him again and will recommend him to family and friends without hesitation.

The springs on our garage door snapped one Friday evening and my wife and I couldn't get our cars out. Called Fred early the next morning and he was very courteous and professional and understood the urgency of the situation. He said he'd be over in an hour with the parts which was impressive.
Once he arrived he did his analysis and gave us a very reasonable estimate. It was much cheaper than the 'big guys' on Angies. Once he started, Fred took his time and did a good job. I've had garage contractors in the past that work as fast as they can to get to the next job. I also like to ask a lot of questions to see how good these guys are. And Fred answered all my questions in detail and it was obvious he's good at what he does.
After completing the job, he asked if I was satisfied with everything and explained how to maintain your garage door, etc. Very professional from start to finish, with a great price.

Fred came as soon as I called. He assessed the problem, gave me an estimate, explained how the estimate worked and got down to business. I appreciated how quickly he worked, how clear his explanations were, and how reasonable the price was. When I realized we needed new cables, I feared it would be much more expensive based on what I'd seen online. I'd always worried about the day I would need to have the garage door repaired, but Angie's list made selection easy and Fred, from Tri City Overhead Doors handled the job without mishap.

He was able to arrive for our appointment earlier than scheduled, so he called to see if I could do it. It worked out great. The work took about 45 minutes to complete. Fred was very polite and professional. I would definitely call him again to repair any garage door problems.

I called in the morning and Fred said he could be at my house by 3:00. I asked if we could schedule for later as I had a 3:00 appointment and I was not sure I would be home in time. He was very open to the time change and suggested I call him if I was delayed. It turned out that I had to call and he was fine coming about twenty minutes later. When he arrived he quickly diagnosed the problem. He fixed it and without being asked checked other things in the unit. He reset the sensitivity as he said it would probably not retract the door if the dog ran under it. He did not pressure me to buy a new unit but did suggest that if I have futrther problems I might consider replacing the 15 year old unit. Fred was very professionals and friendly.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Fred handled the installation of the new belt-driven garage door opener, and asked, (not insisted), whether I wanted the internet gateway that went with it. As other reviews have mentioned, Fred is a consummate professional, and even corresponded with me over the weekend to ensure a Monday installation of this new opener.

I find it challenging to find a negative, and encourage all people considering Tri-City to install their openers to hire the company with little or no reservations. You can be assured of a great job at a great price. Now thinking about replacing our other screw-driven garage door opener with a belt drive, (they're very, very quiet), as we are very pleased with Tri-City's work.

Fred was great...an absolute professional. He arrived on time, worked quickly and tuned up a cranky door opener that would sometimes stop in middle of raising. He knew exactly what to do and finished in just a few minutes. Would definitely use him again.

Overall, it was a fairly stressful event, especially since I couldn't get the door opened or closed. After talking to Fred on the phone and his promise to come on a Saturday morning I felt much better and my stress level decreased substantially. When he actually showed up and fixed the door in a short amount of time, as promised. I felt much better. I also felt that he didn't gouge me on the price. It was more than fair for what had to be done.
