I liked the service; it was comprehensive. They had good instructors.

My son attempted to use the online drivers ed class. We had expected a go at your own pace experience. Instead, each page of each lesson has a timer attached and you cannot progress to the next page once you have read a page until the timer finishes, causing lots of wasted time and very slow progress. My son was very frustrated.
The customer service was excellent. When I called to complain, the lady gave an explanation for the process. When I asked for a refund there was no hassle at all, she was very helpful and courteous.

It is an online site. It was an on going self-paced class. The price was very reasonable. I thought it went very well. My son went through the classes on self-pace, so, he was able to do it as he had time and at his own schedule. It was very thorough. He passed all his tests; he had no problems. He passed all his practice tests with no issues. So, I think he did a great job. They were very good and very helpful, but if you do not keep your own log and you call to get one from them, what they send you, is really hard to pick through. They do not have a user-friendly log of the time that my son spent online so that I could go back and look at it.

This was the first time I have used them and they were recommended by our department of public safety. My employee took a 6-hour course and took his test on-line. I had problems logging onto their web site at about 10 a.m. on Sunday but I was able to call them and get all the answers I needed.

I used it because it was convenient.

We highly recommend them to other people. The classroom and the driving are very tough. They are a little pricier than most of them, but I felt worth it. They are professional. We liked their professionalism and they are no nonsense attitude with the drivers in teaching them and the classes seemed to be well organized and clear. They are expensive. We are probably using them again for my son.

I would not recommend them. I don't think they prepared my child very well for driving or taking the state test. She doesn't feel very comfortable. My husband is a race car driver who can teach her on the road, but she still has to take the written state test. I am investing more time and money to have her take a local class since idrivesafely.com didn't prepare her well. Save your money and have your child take the class locally. This is too serious of an issue. I really don't like that you only have so many days to finish and that they don't warn you when your time is almost up. That is not right especially when they are dealing with teens. Keep your child safe and don't do this program.
