2) Very friendly and accommodating. Husband and wife both work in the shop which has tons of family photos and makes for a welcoming atmosphere.
3) Answered my questions about locks etc. very thoroughly.
4) It took them a while to get the key correctly cut but they stuck with it until it worked perfectly.
Also, we inadvertently had him re-key the wrong mailbox. Long story short, we had a mailbox key that had opened a mailbox we thought was our son's but wasn't. He had made three keys for the box. When we realized our mistake, we called Carlsbad Village Lock & Key to explain our blunder. . When I spoke with Lee, he asked if we wanted to re-key the correct box. At this time, we decided to keep the old key. Rather than have us drive to the shop, he said he could leave the old keys at the house hidden away and would call to say where they were. Within 15 minutes he called to say that he actually had re-keyed the mailbox and left us the three new keys! I don't think many locksmiths would go out of their way to help the way Lee did.

Lee arrived on time and worked on the door that wouldn't close correctly. He was very polite and friendly. Unfortunately the same latch started giving me problems several days later, so I called Carlsbad Village Lock and Key again. Lee came out the same day and worked on it for quite a LONG time. Finally, he got it to close correctly. I am very impressed with this business' dedication to its customers! After spending so much time on my one door, as he was leaving, said if I had any further problems with it, not to hesitate giving him a call.
