Ayoub pulled the meter, cleaned the bus bar and replaced 9 breakers with the improved type while we were away.  The older breakers were very loose and did not fit the box correctly.  This could cause overheating and flickering lights (which we had) and eventually damage the bus bar which would mean a new panel. He stopped by today to pick up a check for the work.  Very polite and professional. He has also quoted some down lights we want to install and will go ahead with that project after the first of the year.

The owner came over an hour after being called on the 26th to replace the defective fire alarm and GFCI to get power back on to the house.  This took about an hour.  He returned the next day to replace the second fire alarm.  I am a handy man but did not want to go up on a ladder so high over our stairs.  I watched him do the work and he is very fast and knowledgeable.

The electrician was friendly and professional, but damaged my walls without consulting me (could have been avoided by using crawlspace), and was overpriced based on similar work I have had done since he was here.

Found where ceiling fixtures would eventually break loose; installed 1 new fixture other electrician could not deal with and claimed needed special parts; retightened wall plugs that had worked loose a few months after being installed (!);  found special bulbs and changed lights in fixture that had been improperly seated 2 months prior with the bulbs being burnt out (!)  and homeowner could not reach. Business  Owner and 1 other professional. A little expensive but worth it  to do properly  and I will store # for when needing more service. Quality exceeding anyone in San Marcos where contractors are iffy.

We had a circuit out that included the kitchen lights and nothing we tried (circuit breaker, etc) restored it. Had difficulty finding anyone listed who had Sunday hours. Left messages for five who did, and only Ayoub returned our call. Two days later and NONE of the others have called. He came himself and spent over an hour trying to locate the cause of the dead circuit, checking many outlets throughout the house. When it became apparent it would not be a quick fix, and it was Sunday and no emergency (we didn't need the kitchen that night), we sent him home to enjoy the rest of his Sunday and scheduled him to return the next day at 8:30am. He located the problem and repaired it, replaced several plugs/outlets that were also worn out and would not hold an appliance plug well-24 years old. Disconnected and removed old security system box as we requested.
Ayoub is very, very easy to talk to. He is friendly, happy, personable. He explained things clearly to me (a woman with NO electrical experience or knowledge), made suggestions. He told me what was not a good idea for lighting, even though he could have made money installing the light I thought I wanted, but he said I would not like (my husband agreed with him!). 
We will have him return after the holidays to install recessed lighting in the kitchen along with some other lighting projects in the house. 
Ayoub arrived on time as scheduled, did not waste any time, and was very professional.

First of all, I cannot say enough good things about this company because they surpassed my wildest hopes!  They were available on the weekend (which is of course when all mishaps occur!!!), and were so kind on the phone.  They had my husband check things to the best of his ability to determine if it was something simple.  It wasn't.  They then asked if we needed assistance immediately or if we would prefer to have someone come early the following morning.  The following morning worked best for us as we did not need to use the room that did not have the electricity for one night.The following morning, right on time, the electrician came.  He was able to quickly and skillfully determine the problem.  The problem was that our worker who was installing our siding (on loan to us from our contractor) accidentally drove a nail into the electrical line.  This necessitated that the electrician remove the siding in the area where he determined the problem occurred, and then fix it.  He fixed it quickly and with the best attitude I have ever seen on any person working in the hot sun!  He was friendly and even let my husband ask what had to be a few hundred questions--and answered them quite nicely! When it came time for the bill, because we were new to Angie's list (it was our first need to use the list), we received a discount in which the owner did not charge us the weekend rate (no premium for the weekend--nice!).  It was his Angie's List discount.  Amazing! The electrician (Mark) also asked for a broom and dustpan to sweep up the little bit of mess on the living room floor (we actually would not let him but were delighted that he was going to take care of it!).  So, you can see why we cannot say enough good things.  We are going to use this company forever--and we are going to tell all our friends.  Wow!  Wonderful service has returned!!!!

Called ALFA late on a Friday afternoon after returning from a trip and finding half the electrical circuits in the house out. Ayoub was in traffic on the way back from LA, tried to help over the phone, and got here as soon as he could. Very quickly troubleshot the problem and localized it to a failure of one phase on the SDGE side. He called SDGE and scheduled a technician to come out. What impressed me the most was his followup through the night and next morning to make sure the service was restored. He was not going to charge me for the call, but I had a failed GFCI on the back patio and asked him to look at it before he left. Again, he quickly found the problem and fixed both boxes. I will use ALFA for any future work. He is honest, he knows what he is doing, and he takes care of his customers. Highly Recommended

The work went fine.  They took care of the problem and they understood the problem.  They did the job quickly and competently.  I thought that they were kind of expensive.

Since the initial project, they have been out about once a year to perform modifications.  The most recent project was on May 3rd 2011. We have always been pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail and honest collaborative thoughts coming up with positive suggestions to either improve or solve issues.  Our initial experience was superb and on subsequent projects they have maintainted their very high standards.  I highly recommend this company.

Excellent work! They were very professional, very courteous, clean, and thorough. I couldn't be happier! They not only did the work with excellent quality, but they also patched the holes in the ceiling and wall (I'll have to paint over myself, but I was expecting them to leave the holes to me, yet they did all the patching good job, too!). They worked hard to make the minimum of holes. The workers (there were two of them) removed their shoes at the door (at my request), put down a tarp under their ladders to protect the carpet and collect the debris, and vacuumed after they were done. Wow! The team was exceptionally polite, and I'm not a little old lady nor a buff scary guy, just a normal person and I think they probably treat everybody this way. At one point the owner stopped by to check out the work. There was a little mix up at the beginning on the start time, but it was worked out, and having the owner drop by and apologize again shows their level of professionalism.

Not sure yet if Ayoub's potential fix will work, but it was very helpful of him to offer.

Arrived quickly. Courteous. Reviewed problem, and when it could not be quickly solved had repairman come the next day to complete the job. Short was found and repaired in about an hour. In retrospect, cost may have been too high but I was willing to pay it rather than wait to get it fixed. For all I know, this was the "going" rate.

Called when running 30 minutes late, explained problems fully, worked steadily with minimal breaks.

They showed up on time and completed the job within the time quoted. I understood the original quote to be $250.00 for two hours and I was charged $375.00 for the two hour period. The work was performed to my satisfaction.

I called on Friday and they scheduled us for 8am-9am on Monday. They arrived promptly and were very pleasant.
