"We re-plastered this customer’s pool and installed a new light on 2/29/12. We charged $250 for the light. On 7/25/12 we received a service call for a leak. Ed Rock went on the service call (at no charge) on 7/27/12, checked around everything we plastered and discovered a leak inside the light bucket, in the conduit which he sealed with epoxy. Ed advised the customer and her pool service person of his findings and told them to monitor the water level. The leak had nothing to do with the plaster job or the light installation. The leak was a result of warn out conduit but we tried to help resolve the problem as a courtesy. We have not heard back from this customer since 7/27/12. We recommend that this customer continue to monitor the water level as chances are the leak detector she hired tried to resolve the issue the same way that we did. If the leak comes back, we would advise this customer to hire a licensed pool electrician to replace the light bucket and conduit as it looked very old and worn."
The pool was scrapped of all the old plaster and old waterline tile in just 4 hours. I couldn't believe how fast that went. Next was the 2 man team of tile setters. They also redesigned our adjoining spa with a small but very effieienct spill over into the pool. That worked and looked better than i could have hoped for. They also fixed any and all of the additional problems we had within the actual gunite. That whole process took about 6 hours. Two days later Ed sent his re-plastering crew in. They finished the process in less than 4 hours from the time they walked into the backyard to the time the hoses went into the water.
All in all, the whole process took less than a week. Ed also had a couple of great suggestions regarding a small 2 foot high wall we were building on part of the pool to seperate the pool from the garden area. He also went over all the color variations we could have used within the plaster...... noteing what he thought would work best with our sourounding trees. We picked the light grey option and could not be happier. You know its been done right when everyone we have had over is just amazed at the final product.
Highly recommend Ed Rock and San Rock Pool Plastering to anyone who needs a pool restoration.
