Glass and Mirror Service
The technician told me it would take 35 minutes. It took 32 minutes. He said it would be no more than $40. It was $40. These are the parameters I like! (when there are no surprises!)
The standard of work was superlative. Apart from the fact that I hardly waited 30 seconds to be served, he took pains to make sure that the ding/rock chip in my windshield would be as minimal or invisible as possible. I took photos after and I couldn't see the crack any more when he was done.
I noticed that he did a couple of other steps that I didn't see at other similar stores where I have had work like this done on previous occasions: 1) he cooled the car down before starting work. (it was a very hot day, in the 100s.) 2) he made sure that the doors were left open so that there would be no pressure change during the delicate setting stage of the repair. And he also worked on both sides of the wind shield!
He was pleasant, fast and did a terrific job. If you live in Santa Clarita, this is around 10 minutes up Soledad Canyon toward Canyon Country. (I couldn't find anything in Valencia!)
