Your Prime Contractor, Inc.

So frustrating contractor does not communicate with me or workers. I request a local contractor for this company out of CA. He/they never show when supposed to. We were in and out of hotels, omg so expensive. The contractor says just 2 more days and no one shows up. Ridiculous, the whole project crap. The shower is finished, those guys did good job with tile. I will never do again. It's been almost two months, I wish I could post pictures. Start day was November 7, he said it would be done by Thanksgiving, not done. It's Christmas now,not done. I purchased everything in August. He told me I needed to order more tile, so I did. Tile got here in time. While in hotel they say more tile. I did my best to order as I was told. Ended up having too much because both guys telling me to order and no communication between them. Contractor would go gather supplies then tell me to go pay and bring home. The guys that finish shower gave me receipts so I wrote them a check. So the monies I paid to contractor is all for labor??? I have not done this before so I did not know what to expect. Workers don't clean after themselves. We are constantly wiping down distant of course it gets everywhere. Two holidays ruined

I had a complete remodeling done; from bathtub to shower, new electrical and plumbing. After several consultation and different quotes, decided to go with YPC. Bathroom was done in time specified. Iâ m very happy with my new bathroom.

You get what you pay for. The job came out pretty decent and the renovation looks great, but the supervisor was no where to be found during the install. If you have the time to babysit the installers through every step of the process and come up with 100% of the design, color, material, and texture then maybe it will be worth it for you. I was pretty happy with how everything turned out despite the constant feedback or correction that I had to provide. A year after the install, I started to see minor issues with workmanship; looks like they used sparkling between crown molding which has disintegrated, adhesive used on parts of floor picking up dirt and I will need to use goo gone (I even specifically asked if that was ok to leave when they wrapped up and they told me not to worry about it, it would disappear when it dried). They also only had me pick out the flooring and did not talk to me at all about getting a pad below the vinyl faux wood planks. I would have gladly paid the extra money, floor is rock hard and uneven where concrete base is not perfectly level.

This company is terrible at everything. Work was delayed from 10 days to months... and everything needs to be redone because of poor quality. Only good at communication when collecting money.

They're doing a very professional job. We likely will hire them for future projects.

The work was great. It took a little while to get going amd communication was difficult at times. I spent a lot of time getting different parts and pieces for the project and didn't always know what I needed to buy. The quality of the finished product is wonderful.

I went through and read other reviews so I could compare my experiences to other people's. I definitely see where other people could have and did have problems with YPC, but everything that other people have said was, for me, completely balanced out by the PRICE and the fact that this is a real contractor who will really do the work and actually finish the project and get out of your house--though you will need to make sure all that happens. So, it's been a year since we had a bunch of companies come out and give us quotes. YPC was, by far, the most reasonable contractor who estimated our project. Gil was so awesome to work with. The estimate he came back with was literally less than half what the next company wanted, which was partly because Gil took the time to walk us through what actually HAD to be done vs what was just nice to have. Our quote didn't change in the middle of the process. (It is important to understand from the beginning what their quote includes and doesn't include!) Pedro was our primary contact. He was also great to work with. Sometimes he or the subcontractors would go off in the wrong direction but I MADE SURE AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND WITH ANY CONTRACTOR that you go and verify the work every single day to make sure they don't end up doing something you didn't want or discuss. Anyway, I was always able to have a conversation with him and get things sorted. Yes, they did make a few mistakes here and there. Sometimes it was my fault for not explaining ahead of time what I wanted. Sometimes it was the subcontractor. But I expected this kind of thing to happen. It's a contractor. We all are afraid of having contractors work on our houses. And the price! Now, the end product is outstanding. We are delighted with our basement. I waited a year to write this review to make sure nothing bad happened after they left. No leaks. No shorts. No shoddy work that became apparent. Now for the schedule. Gil estimated 6 weeks, which we knew was sporty. It was a challenge for me to even get the cabinets and other supplies ordered to support a schedule like that. However, we didn't expect they would spend half their time working on at least one other project. If they'd focused on just our project, they could have easily completed it within 6 weeks. I mean, like fast. But we had to call multiple times and request that they actually show up to the site. I would have liked to have known that in advance, and had an estimate that included that. It ended up taking 10 weeks and that was only because in the last two weeks, I started giving them a hard time about not finishing. I ended up having to give them an ultimatum. Finish by Friday or leave it (we were down to nitpick-y cosmetic things that Pedro wanted to fix so his work would be A+ but I was just *done* by then). Pedro and the team came out and worked a really long Thursday and got it all done by Friday. All that said, we always felt very comfortable with Gil and Pedro. We never felt like they were scamming us, avoiding us, ignoring us, or doing poor work. We fully intend to hire them for more projects because we have a better understanding of how they work (and we understand the risk they'd have if they didn't overlap projects, especially when our cabinets failed to arrive in time). They took good care of their dust and even repainted the room that connected to the one they worked in, because it got really dusty and there were some wall dings. I highly recommend YPC if you want a low-key contractor who won't constantly change the scope of the work or the estimate. Yes, I could have paid double and had more consistent grout lines, but I didn't want to pay double. You do you! Now you know.

Job was done quickly, but supervisor did not keep close eye on the job. If I had not been watching the subcontractors they would have messed things up badly. Framing was poor quality and plaster work showed noticeable lines in the wall after being painted.

We live in a one-bedroom house so we had to move out during the remodel. YPC started on time and actually finished a day early, which was fantastic because we were ready to come home after 3 weeks away. Overall, we are very pleased with our new bathroom and we will definitely invite YPC back to bid on future projects. Housekeeping wise, some of our belongings were accidently thrown away in the clean-up efforts (nothing of significant value) so just be sure to have YPC set up the debris pile away from your personal items.

The men with whom I worked were hard working, and Pedro who performed the work was outstanding. They were a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

We are just finishing our work with YPC, a rebuild of our kitchen after a dishwasher flood. Gil, Alex, and Liam are professionals who take their jobs seriously. If you are serious about your deadline, put it in the contract. YPC began the project on the day after it was supposed to be wrapped up. Covid and worker illness, taken into consideration, they were 5 weeks past their promised deadline. The work is beautiful. Our kitchen looks better now than it did when the house was new!

The job is moving along. Work is going as planned.

I highly recommend Gil from the prime contractor. He came to provide an estimate for a large garage which I wanted to turn it into ADU. It was a big project and he was able to give me a great deal with my budget. All their guys handle it perfectly from the design all the way to the completion, really amazing guest house. It was a pleasure to work with Gil.

I just partnered with Your Prime Contractor to complete a beautiful kitchen remodel! Elly was my project manager. He was an excellent communicator. He was always on time, gave detailed updates and was very prompt to address any questions. Lazaro was the head foreman on the job. He was so patient about answering all my questions and was an expert problem solver. My cabinet company didn't deliver a cabinet and he proactively made calls to resolve the issue for me. He also went out of his way to get extra filler material to custom frame the built in microwave. I was incredibly impressed with his attention to detail. He and his team really went the extra mile to ensure the remodel went smoothly and to my liking. The project finished ahead of schedule and on budget. I'm so happy with the results and the renovation experience. I will definitely be using Your Prime Contractor for future jobs.

We decided to remodel 2 of our bathrooms and started by getting quotes from multiple providers. From the beginning, YourPrimeContractor was the most courteous and professional. They always called back on time and spoke respectfully. Our project manager Eli was extremely diligent, helpful, and enthusiastic throughout the whole process. He helped us with ideas and shopping for materials, it helped immensely since this was our first remodeling experience. He brought different teams for each bathroom and both teams produced high quality results. They respected our requests with regards time and etc. They also responded positively and constructively to feedbacks and questions. We were happy thorough the ~3 month process and are now really enjoying our new bathrooms.

I hired them for cabinets built in and for hardwood floor. What a pleasure to work with them. It was a smooth process. I love the look of the kitchen and we plan to hire them again.

Just had the gust house done by Gil from prime and I am very pleased. The workers are extremely professional, knowledgeable and clean. Gil was reasonable about the price. Straight forward. Clear status as the project process. I already recommended to family member. The only regret is I should of done it years ago

I hired this company based on an A rating here. Although our contact, Elly, was extremely helpful and available 24/7, the work was unprofessional. Paint job was sloppy in many places, nails sticking out of the flooring, and appliances were not reconnected two days in a row. Workmen stayed past 10pm after I requested they leave no later than 8pm. I was told I was being unreasonable to be upset. Very disappointed after using this company.

Prime did an AMAZING job on remodeling my kitchen and three bathroom,they were concentrate to keep the mess sold off,they re prices was very reasonable,I could not ask for much more. My old kitchen looked like it hasn t been touched since the 70s and I wanted more of modern they look with a copper counter and copper accent. And Gil the manager is the best ! Thank you for finishing the work on time.

So I recently had my bathroom makeover and I must admit that it was worth for me to wait. I m so happy with the final project and how professional and patient YPC was with me. Met and exceeded all of my expectations. Will recommend this company !!

We wanted to get the kitchen done, but had a tight timeline. They remodeled our kitchen as envisioned, and got it done within 1 month. I added some changes as the work progressed, and before we proceeded Gil told me the cost of the change orders. The total project is what we agreed to. The workers we welcomed into our home came on time, were professional and friendly, worked hard, and cleaned up afterward. The work was well-coordinated, and the kitchen looks great! Gil and his team were a delight to work with. I will be contacting them for future projects.

Your Prime Contractor recently completely remolded our master bath and updated our kitchen to add counter-tops, new back-splash, and add gas. Different aspects of the project got delayed a few times, but they were great about letting us know and we are very happy with the results. Would recommend to anyone needing a project.
