This is the second time I have used West Valley Upholstery.  Steve is great to work with.  He is honest and the quality of workmanship and materials is top notch.  Having heard that Restoration Hardware's outdoor cushions do not last, I got bids from a few different custom upholsterers to have cushions and pillows made for our RH outdoor furniture.  Steve's price was fair, and he was the only one who communicated exactly what materials he would be using. We went with a beautiful sunbrella fabric that rivals RH's perennial collection, and went with self welt on bias on box cushions.  The workmanship is exemplary, and the finished product is gorgeous and custom, not like it came from a catalogue.  The quality is amazing... we have had the cushions now for 3 months, and the fabric is still taut, not bunchy like you see in RH.  Thanks Steve!

I found West Valley (Steve and Fred) through Angie's List and was impressed by their positive reviews. I contacted the company, explained what I wanted and was given a reasonable quote over the phone. I dropped off the two seats that afternoon. When I brought them in, Fred asked if I wanted the wood and quot;touched upand quot; as there were some dings and scratches in the finish. He assured me that the wood stain would match and I wouldn't see a difference in color between the chair and the legs (I had only brought them the bar seats and the material). He quoted an additional amount per chair for the wood touch up. I agreed to both the wood work and the re-upholstery.
The work was completed quickly and professionally. The original trim on the bottom of the seats was mirrored on the newly upholstered seats and the seats were stuffed firm as requested. I am very pleased with their work and will definitely use their services again. I have no reservations recommending this company.

Steve, the owner, was terrific. He gave me a quote on the phone before coming to my home with swatches of replacement fabric for the 2 chairs. The quote that he gave me included pick-up and drop off of the two chaises. He took a deposit payment; told me when the chairs would be picked up, finished and delivered; and dropped them off as expected. The work was excellent, high quality. Everything was done as and when it was explained to me. We could not be happier with the service and professionalism we experienced.

I love my office chair and didn't want to buy a new one. West Valley Upholstery did a fantastic job. I asked them if they could also remove the ribbing when they put the new vinyl on and that was no problem. I'm very happy with their service.

I was not real happy with the way the real recliner turned out. I think we should have just either gone to a place where they would have redone the whole leather. It didn't look that great because a part of the leather was worn anyway. The sofas, we wanted something a lot more firm because we both had back problems. West Valley Upholstery put very high density foam in the sofas. He was accommodating because at one point I kept thinking that the foams were just too hard and I said "can you redo one of the cushions with a little bit softer foam?" He got another one or two degrees softer than what we had and he didn't charge us extra to do it. I supplied the fabric, I just had him did the labor.

After visiting several shops, I was pleasantly surprised to find this one very clean and neat with a nice reception area and many samples. They called as soon as the fabric came in and had the work completed in just a few days.

I asked if they would be willing to use materials my mother had already purchased to reupholster her dinning room chairs. They said that would be no problem and gave me an estimate. When I brought them in I was quoted a higher price, but when I reminded him of the previous quote, he stuck to the original lower quote. The work done was beautiful and my mother and I were both very happy with it.

These chairs are over 40 years old and we have been told "they don't make them this good any more." We knew we could buy new ones more cheaply, but decided that they were worth the extra money.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY'S WORK. I NOW HAVE NEW FURNITURE THAT IS BETTER THAN WHAT IS BEING SOLD TODAY. THEY HAVE A HUGE SELECTION OF FABRICS FROM WHICH TO CHOOSE. IT'S OBVIOUS JOB SATISFACTION IS THEIR GOAL.
