You know when you try a new restaurant and the food is actually pretty good but the service is so terrible that you swear never to go back?  That's what it's like working with Ron.  Our bathroom remodel actually turned out nicely-  the custom cabinet and sinks they installed look great- but Ron was such a pain to work with that we won't do it again.  He argued with us constantly, made promises about things he would do that he never did, and never acknowledged his mistakes.  And on his first trip into the attic, one of his guys stepped through the ceiling of my home office and fell halfway into the room.  Ron apologized and had damage repaired, but he didn't do anything to compensate for the additional hassle it caused us, and acted from that point on like the job was a big burden for him.
As I said, the work he did turned out well (one of the new sinks drains does drain a bit slowly), but I would not work with him again.

He was a couple of days early with his work, he did it in very short timing. He did it in about three weeks. We dealt directly with him. Great service as far as call back. There was something I wanted him to look at and redo and he did that. It was a great service.

We hired Pine construction to replace the doors in our house and paint one bedroom.  When he had finished a fine job on both, he sent a worker to do touch-ups.  The worker RUINED the beautiful paint job in my daughter?s room.  Unfortunately, based on his other work, I had paid him in full.  I could NEVER get him even to come back and look at the final paint job.  He did, however, offer to send the same incompetent worker back to fix the walls ? an offer I refused. I now have to hire someone else to fix his paint job and sue him to get him to pay for it.  Hire him if you want good work but don?t want someone to stand behind their work.  NEVER hire them to do any painting, and if you do, make sure not to pay him until after the touchup.

Update: turns out the painter didn't mix the paint before the touchup, which is why it looked like splotches.  New painter shook the can and was able to fix the splotches with a bit of sanding an paint.  If Pine had come to even look this would all have been avoided.  Luckily, it did not cost as much as repainting.
