G&L Design via owner Gil designed and installed our custom kitchen cabinets only 3 years ago. At that time Gil issued a verbal "lifetime guarantee" and we agreed to his high price point and placed our trust in him to create our dream kitchen which we have treated with great care since its installation. Although we wanted wood cabinets Gil insisted on making the cabinets with melamine doors. The paint has cracked and fallen off badly in patches throughout the kitchen and the doors are warped -- after only 3 years!! Each time we have contacted G&L there's been a delay in responding to our phone calls or emails and scheduling service appointments is a hassle because Gil is often (coincidentally) "out of town" when we have tried to schedule. We have managed, after much negotiation and hassle, to get Gil to send his team out twice now to repair G&L work but once again, now, paint is cracking and flaking off and there's more warping in the doors. We have contacted Gil again for repair and he told us he will charge us $1000 or more this time to repair his sub-standard product. So, will we now have to pay $1000 each year for his repair work as long as we have these cabinets in our home?? Or perhaps just not use our kitchen since he states the damage is due to "normal wear and tear". Which I guess means using a kitchen for food preparation and cleanup, opening and closing the doors and running water in the sink??! Save yourself some grief, heartache and hassle and find another cabinet maker!! Working with G&L has been such a stressful, expensive and negative experience. The cabinets should be a wonderful addition to our dream kitchen but instead we will need to replace them at our own expense as they are becoming so unsightly. Don't believe Gil when he tells you his product has a "lifetime guarantee!". G&L and Gil do NOT stand behind their products or service. G&L's website mission statement is an extra kick in the pants as its so opposite to how they operate. I hope this review can save someone else from the headache brought on by G&L Design/Cabinets.

This is the second time we have used Gil at G & L Design, and working with him is always an amazing experience. Gil and his crew designed and created the most beautiful handcrafted cabinet for our master bathroom -- it looks like it could be featured in a home design magazine. During the process, Gil was always punctual with every appointment, coming out a couple of times to measure and confirm all measurements before the build. When asked, he even made an extra trip to our home to meet with the contractor creating the custom one piece countertop, and precision was key. Each time, Gil was always so professional, pleasant, and genuinely happy to see us and create a one of a kind piece for our home. He and his crew built and installed - led by Nacho - a cabinet over 9 feet long in less than a week as we had a very tight turnaround with the remaining installation. Again, when faced with this deadline, Gil was courteous and went out of his way to deliver the cabinet before the time frame needed. The cabinet was absolutely perfect -- there was not one flaw, not one screw, drawer, or handle misaligned or out of place. One can see Gil's (and his crew) attention to detail, and providing the best possible experience is a top priority. If you want a stunning addition to your home, seek out Gil and his design crew at G & L Design. Gil is truly talented, and you will have not just a cabinet in your home, but a piece you will love day in and day out for years to come.

From the moment we met Gil, the owner at G & L ,we knew we were in excellent hands! After visiting our home, and asking very detailed and specific questions regarding our use of the space, what we hoped to change from the existing space, and explaining how best to achieve this, Gil started on our plans. Within a short time period, he presented impressively detailed plans. Gil explained them on a subsequent visit while confirming the initial measurements and specifications. We were truly impressed by the attention to detail and customer satisfaction. A few weeks later we had our amazing looking cabinets. Not only were they seriously a work of art with regard to construction, but as we had given Gil a ridiculously intricate pattern, he took the time and effort (which was a lot we're sure) to match each corner, each panel with the one above/below. I am familiar with this in high end fashion and couture, but in cabinets - WOW! His attention to detail is unsurpassed by any vendor we have worked with; quite simply he is a perfectionist and that is what you get with his cabinets...perfection! In summary, not only did Gil create the most remarkable cabinets we have seen, but delivered them as promised on time, and his skilled and truly professional crew worked late in the evening until they were all installed. Who does that??!! Everything was installed in one day, and it was a BIG job. We are totally and completely thrilled with Gil, his crew, and the cabinets. Now, onto the master bathroom as everything else looks poor in comparison. Thank you Gil for making our remodel go so smoothly resulting in a laundry room we absolutely love!!

I was introduced to Gil from a contractor that unfortunately I did not hire to do my kitchen renovation. Although I felt that Gil's prices were a bit high for what he was going to build, I have to say I appreciated his willingness to do whatever it took to design the kitchen the way I wanted it. His build quality is excellent. Before you hire him, take a look at his shop and ask for a tour of where he makes his cabinets. The place is immaculate and everything is truly made by him. Some shops order 80% of their cabinets from suppliers, but Gil actually makes his things and builds the complete kitchen in the shop before ever bringing it to your house. He also uses only Blum hardware and can easily show you the boxes full of thousands of Blum hinges and slides. Although I did not use him, I wish I did. I would recommend him to anyone. He takes great pride in his work, and that's what's most important. Not hiring him was the biggest mistake I ever made. If I ever redo my kitchen, or do another one, I will most definitely hire him.

I bought a condo a year ago that needed major upgrading. A friend of mine recommended G&L, she did a big project with them and was raving about their work. I first hired them to install hardwood floors for me. Being very pleased with cleanliness, fast service and beautiful results, I decided to hire them later on for the kitchen and bathroom remodel. The process was so smooth and easy, they made sure to provide me with the samples of all the materials, everything went by the schedule and I can say that I am more then happy. They also painted my place, and now it looks like a brand new place, it s gorgeous. Thank you Oren and Gil, it s been a real pleasure!
