I have been going there for many many years and they are very fair in price and very professional in the services ,and Dr .Shanker is the best vet around .Always calls you when you need advise and his staff is very professional, and kind. My cats are always treated well ,and live long lives ,thanks to their quality care you receive at the Cat Hospital . I will always talk highly about them . They love my cats dearly ! When I had to put my one cat down , I was there through the entire procedure and they made it as painless for my boy ,and he did not suffer at all . Thanks so much for treating all my cats great for many years , Carol Copeland

I have been bringing my cats to the Cat Hospital for 15 years. They have provided care for all of my cats, at all stages of life. One of the most impressive qualities of their services is that they don't try to and quot;persuade meand quot; to agree to procedures/tests that are not essential for the well-being of the cat. I have had bad experiences in the past, where I thought that veterinarians were being far too cautious, causing the animal undue stress (and me, unwarranted bills).
The staff is friendly, and the vets are all very professional and compassionate. I wish that my own MDs had as good a bedside manner as do Drs. Shanker, Hanney, and Hermanson! ;-)

My daughter's cat, who is living with us at the moment, has a history of
urinary tract blockages, and was obviously ill, because this cat that
would eat until he exploded was NOT eating. I called, got an
appointment for that morning, and then couldn't find him when it was
time to get into the car. They rescheduled me for an hour later, and
upon finding the cat within the appropriate window of time, I went to
the vet, where we saw Dr. Shanker. He is a pioneer in feline medicine,
and did a thorough examination, assuaged my fears, told me specifically
what I needed to observe if I even suspected a blockage again, and also
told me what sort of time frame we needed to worry about (I had read on
line that blockages can kill in 24 hours, so was a bit panicky.) The
front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The price was fair. I'm
delighted to have found a vet I can say is and quot;ourand quot; vet, since Weasley saw
two different ones in our previous town and I still hadn't been happy.

I have been going to the Cat Hospital for 10+ years. They are the best animal hospital, focusing on cats, in the bay area. They have all the equipment needed to do almost all procedures. I've found all of the vets, assistants and employees extremely patient, helpful, smart and caring. I trust their opinions, and all of my cats have thrived under their care.

They specialize in cats. Most, but not all, of the vets there are very warm, caring, knowledgeable and lovable. Dr. Shanker, the owner, is a grump. He doesn't have a good bedside manner but all the vets that work for him do. Vets are never cheap. They are expensive, like any vet place. I will continue to use them.

They are excellent. We moved away, and it's a bit of a drive to keep taking our cats there. They were expensive. Everytime you take them in, it was never under $100.

I have been taken my cats there for quite some time and they are excellent. The head vet is a specialist in feline treatment. all of them are excellent and will treat you and your kitty well.

We have always used them. They do have a boarding service for cats but that has gotten more expensive. The people seem to know what they are doing and they know cats.

They are very thorough and thoughtful towards the animals. They are very good and the office help is excellent. The doctors are very good to the animals. My overall experience was excellent. They are very efficient and the doctors handle the animals very well. They are very thoughtful and not all the animal doctors are as thoughtful. They are very caring and the office staff has the same caring attitude. They are very efficient with their office duties. Their price is probably as good as anybody else. The quality of their care is excellent. They usually take me in if I have an emergency, which I have had a number of times. They take you in right away. They are very good. Their punctuality is very good because there is very little waiting. It is a very efficient office. They are very professional as well. They have been in business for a very long time and the doctors are very good. I would use their services in the future too.

They are good but I think their prices are really too high. It seemed like a lot of money. There was a test where they had to get a stool sample and they could not do that. They expected me to get that. I paid them for a test that they actually did not do. I think it would be good if they do some tests if they give a bill that huge. They are very good except the price.

I have been bringing my cats to this vet for almost 10 years. They are one of the best vets I have every used--including actual doctors, technicians, and admin staff. They are kind, caring, patient and flexible. I always feel safe bringing my cats here, and know that I am getting a qualified opinion. Unfortunately, I've had to put two cats to sleep with them. The Cat Hospital made both experiences the most positive they could be. I recommend this vet to everybody, and trust them 100%.

Very good caring service for over 7 years. Only sour note was that when my cat was 16, we started him on dialysis and he died the next day. The vet had no explanation.

Our 6 year-old cat was limping slightly and was in discomfort--she has had some problems with the hip on that side since she was a kitten but this was unusual. We took her in and the Drs. were very thorough, discussed the possible causes, treatments, etc. Our cat is not cooperative when it comes to x-rays so had to be sedated which adds $55 to total cost of the visit (exam, x-rays, sedation, meds). We have been taking both our cats to the Cat Hospital for over five years and they have our full confidence. We've had cats for 30 years and are very picky about vets! We went home with meds to administer, which worked out fine. Our cat is ok now. They are also understanding about how hard it can be to give a cat pills, and will specify/provide liquid meds when possible if you ask.

Although I liked the veterinarian, I was very disturbed by something that happened to one of my cats. He was having some problems healing after his declawing surgery, so he had to stay at the hospital. I was instructed to bring his pain medications with me so they could be administered during his stay. When I picked up the cat two days later, I found out that none of the pain pills had been given to him. I like that they specialize in cats, but I am disappointed. I am giving them average grades because I have never had a really good experience in taking my animals to this vet and this is unfortunately no worse or better than I expected. I don't remember the price, but I know I spent hundreds of dollars for the exams and the surgeries. I am not sure if I will go back there or not.

I would use this company again. They are very good and I feel comfortable using them. I will say though that I am looking for another vet that I can get the same type of service from, but at a cheaper price.

I was pleased with the people at this clinic. They ran on time and everything went very quickly and was easy on the cats. I have used them before and have always been pleased with them. I would recommend the Cat Hospital to others with cats. The price listed in for all three cats.

My 19 year old cat suffers from kidney disease and is monitored regularly. We were given a solution to inject daily in the back of her neck which she has been receiving for over a year now. It is keeping her kidneys functioning and also assuring she is comfortable. We truly appreciate the loving care she receives at this vet's office. I recommend them.

I have two cats that have both been treated at the Cat Hospital. This company's work is very good. They are very efficient in emergency situations. I had to have one cat put to sleep. The staff there was really good. Two of my cats were spayed and neutered. I was happy with my overall experience at this hospital.

THEY WERE VERY KIND AND PATIENT. THEY DID NOT RUSH ME, OR MAKE ME FEEL AS THOUGH I WAS TAKING TOO LONG TO SAY GOOD BYE. THE DOCTOR EVEN STAYED WITH ME DURING THEIR LUNCH TIME WHEN THE CLINIC IS USUALLY CLOSED.

They treat my cats very well, and they are a very clean hospital. They are just very expensive, but it was an overall good experience. They treated my cats very well. It's just my cats are more outside than indoor cats, so they are not used to being locked up in a small cage so I won't use them again only for that reason.

I always have a good experience with this company. They were very helpful and caring with my animals the last time I took them in. They do have expensive pricing but the quality of care is well worth it. I have used this company regularly. The price does depend on what kind of services that you use at the time of visits.
