Sun Valley Painting Co.

I was given the responsibility of initially vetting what began as eight contractors and then narrowed to just three. I discovered Sun Valley Painting by asking friends who had painted their homes, as I remember from a BBQ that they had all used the same firm. They happen to be a reasonable, but particular bunch, so I thought they might be onto something. When I got James Mayfield's business card, I was hard pressed to find many reviews of his firm online. I was told by a previous commercial customer of SVP that had multiple sites that SVP has a loyal following of customers, and that they are repeatedly called back by this loyal clientele. That is not to say they do not take new work. SVP's estimate was not the least expensive, but James Mayfield proved convincing in that he would use superior caulking and paint product lines than the other contractors we considered.
Now you must know that some of our members, despite our having a vote for color selection, were not pleased with the slight change in color scheme we decided on. As per our previous history, some of these same members will take their sentiment and frustrations out on the contractor who shows up to do the work, so I was worried for SVP's reception once the contract was awarded them by our board. James has the experience and maturity you would want if you have a similar situation. As it happens, some of the same folks who had objected to the color change were bringing James and crew food and refreshments as they steadily worked our complex.
There was not a hitch in any task SVP performed to paint at our HOA. The crew had a light footprint, masked things well so we saw no overspray, and were gone on time after cleaning up for themselves. I really must pay a special compliment on how well notified residents were regarding when painting would occur to their homes and assigned parking areas. There was only one time a car was not moved by the owner, and it was really something to see how well the SVP crew wrapped it up to protect the vehicle. 
It has been eighteen months since our painting was completed, and  it looks like we will be enjoying our great looking homes for another 6-7 years before we have Sun Valley Painting return.....Highest recommendation!!
