+ -1 moreJohn didn't do anything unnecessary. He just removed all of the ancient paint, left the original metal and wood with a coat of varnish. I asked him to install safety hinges. It is GORGEOUS. If you want an antique piece restored, he's a good person to go to. He's not fast, so you'll want to allow time for completion.
Description of Work: I bought an old trunk at a garage sale for $24. It was small with a domed top in bad condition. It had lots of paint and was in need of good care. I thought it would make a wonderful pirate chest for my grandson. I took it to John.
