Electrical offers a full range of electrical services to residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout the San Francisco South Bay Area. When you choose E.G. "Dear Member, We appreciate clients writing reviews about the services we have performed. Honestly we were not expecting this review from you, and I will explain why. Before I started your project I presented to you what it will cost. I asked you twice if you wanted to call back the other two electricians that on two different visits have charged you low price but left you with a life safety hazard. But you told me verbatim “Edward, I can not get hold of them and honestly I don’t want them to this work, lets do it the proper way and make sure it is done correctly” So, we proceeded with the repair and at the end you were very thankful. Then you have called several average electricians and over the phone gave a vague simplified version of description of the completed task and expected to get a price that was comparable to our service. Here are some reasons why you have received low prices. 1. Your description of the task was not accurate. 2. The other “average” electricians can not compete with our level of service or warranty. 3. They gave you an “ESTIMATE” only based on your vague description and without seeing the work, then will raise the price after the job is completed. 4. Even if they did come out, they could not have seen what had been involved because the project was done already. 5. We pay our people well and do look forward to a long lasting relationships with all of our clients. That is why we have been in business for 15 years. When I was there I noticed how gentle and caring you were with your client’s dog. And I am sure you do charge a premium for your services, because you give good value, Will it be fair if a client writes an ugly review because an unqualified person does a similar service as yours but without the love and the care and charges less than you do? I am sure you will agree that it won’t be fair. We appreciate you removing this unfair negative review. Once we agreed on that, he had to go purchase the ballasts, then come back and replace them.
The lights work great and he was pleasant and professional. Perhaps I have been out of touch too long on how much any kind of electrical work costs, but $930 seemed like a lot. Maybe everyone charges that much now. He did give me the 10% discount for Angie's list members, so I saved $90.
Update: Edward performed a second job at our house to install recessed ceiling lights in two rooms. In addition to doing his usual great job on the installation, he was very helpful in advising us on where to position the lights and which kind to choose for various locations and purposes. You usually need to hire an interior designer for that kind of advice, but he is the rare electrician who also has the esthetic touch!
