They're great and I had referred them to other people for their service. I used him before I even signed up for Angie's List. He was on the lower end for price that's why we went with him at first and then it worked out really well. He was always really good about getting back to me, the only issue was somewhat of a language barrier, he's hard to understand on the phone. I don't remember having any issues on punctuality.

The process went smoothly. He came back to add a piece of
floor moulding.

John was very responsive to my request for an estimate to repair, sand and refinish 1400+ sq. ft. of 80 year old 1/2x2 white oak hardwood floor. He explained all our options stressing the pros and cons of each. His estimate was less than half of 2 other bids. Throughout the project John communicated very well. The job was scheduled for 10 days out but when another customer had to delay their work ours project was pulled in. The 3 person crew was on site for 4 full days. In addition to making the known repairs they inspected every square inch counter sinking nail heads and re-nailing squeaky boards. The crew was thorough and neat. I was pleasantly surprised that there weren't any dings in the walls or baseboards a testament to the care they took while working. When the job was complete he spent time to describe the proper care for the floors both near term and long term.

I needed to refinish my hardwood floor really fast to get ready to list the house for sale. William was able to respond immediatedly and start the next day. I had the extra challenge of being in Southern California. Even though I didn't give him a deposit, he went ahead and did the work. Once I came up to see his work, I was pleased. I called him up and gave him a check. Later on, he even helped me fix some discolorations I had on my cabinets.

William came out and told me that he could sand down the parquet and refinish it with two coats of varnish. He didn't seem to think that anything would be a problem. We don't actually live in the house yet so I showed him where the keys were. William came to my house, let himself in and got to work. My husband checked on the progress the first day and took pictures and what I saws was fabulous. The next day William was out again to put on the second coat of varnish. I went over the next day and was just bowled over at how beautiful it looked. It was brand new with a beautiful patina of golden oak and the awful dark walnut was gone. It is just a stunning floor. I thank William for restoring this floor as it has such sentimental value to me. He cleaned up and left no mess, well a little dust but that's all. I would recommend William to anyone needing to restore and finish hardwood floors. He is just great.

This job was originally suppose to be a simple refinish of floors in four rooms in my 1916 home. The job was to last about a 1 1/2 wks and cost @ $1500, but in the end it ballooned to $7500 and lasted five weeks. William did a wonderful job with the floors, in particular the new floors. He and his crew were very pleasant to work with. His crew showed up at my home always on time. As others mentioned, communication was rough. Wasn't very good relaying a schedule of completion ahead of time. We found out when he would come back at the end of each day. He wasn't very good letting us know the cost or itemizing the cost for us, though we asked for it. His est. wasn't clear eventhough he had documented all the cost for our house in his notebook. When we asked how much more if we did it this way, his response would be more expensive or I'll give you a deal. We had some issues on undisclosed cost and he made amends by doing some extra work. Long story, but it worked out in the end.

Several years ago I used a hardwood floor re-finisher who came highly recommended. When I tried to use him for my current project, our schedules did not coordinate. I checked Angie's List and called William. He returned my call within 24 hours. He came to my home, which is currently being remodeled, and gave me an estimate. His estimate was almost $800 less than the estimate I had gotten from the other hardwood floor re-finisher. I was working with a very tight schedule. I had to get out of the house I was renting. Even though my home is not finished being remodeled, I had to move in. It was critical that I get the two bedroom floors refinished before I put furniture in them. William explained his process and how long it would take. He worked on a Saturday to accommodate my schedule. I was extremely happy and plan on working with him again.

Mr Yang did a great job! I got 3 quotes from three different contractors. Mr Yang was the only one that came to house to do the estimate. That's why he got the job. His estimate was not the lowest nor the highest, he was in the middle. The job was finished within the estimated time and cost.

This was our lowest bid for the hardwood floor installation. Mr. Yang was very professional and was able to accommodate our time line. Installation of the new floor went well, with only minor confusion about the fact that we wanted wood flooring inside the closets in that room and under the fridge. It helped that I was able to be here when he started to walk the area with him. The sanding and finishing was scheduled while we were away, which was such a blessing. Upon returning just before the last of 3 coats, we found the floors looked great, but the smell was awful. I highly recommend a hotel for this part! There was some minor confusion about who was going to install the base boards. This was done for an additional $150. (Floor guy installs, painter should caulk and prep). We know for next time.

Mr. Yang did a great job. The floor looks better than the original installation, and the finish is better. They were clear about the prep that I had to do -- clearing the area and putting up plastic sheets. They were very punctual and finished on schedule.

IT WAS OKAY. IT WAS HARD AT FIRST TO GET THEM TO AGREE ON COMING ON A DAY FOR AN ESTIMATE AND DO THE WORK. IT WENT SMOOTHLY AFTER THAT BECAUSE THEY WERE VERY PLEASANT AND THEY DID THEIR JOB QUICKLY.
