Bob Barrie is the real deal. I had tried out a few different realtors, ones that came very highly recommended (some with multi-million dollar homes on their listings, some with houses on the other end of the spectrum, and some in between) and they were fine. But when I met Bob, they all paled in comparison. Bob is the type of realtor that you think realtors are going to be like, but they don't really exist. First off, Bob previews houses before you go to see them! Who does that these days?! No one that I met, or even heard of. And he doesn't give more time to those that will bring in more money for him. All clients hold the same value for him. He does great research on the type of house you are looking for, then goes and previews them for you so that you don't have to waste your time! Then you pick which ones you'd like to see (or you can advise him on ones that you have seen in the listing, as well). You show up and he's already gotten there before you, and is standing there in the house, welcoming you and your spouse or family like a gentleman. And he is very knowledgeable about homes and the housing market. He really pays attention to what it is that YOU are looking for. He is a rare breed as far as realtors go. I couldn't believe that I found him on Angie's list (I started to read Angie's list because I was so unimpressed with all the other realtors I had been working with). I didn't really believe the reviews I read about him, they sounded so good, and so different than what I had previously experienced. But like I said, he is the real deal!

Bob Barrie did a phenomenal job on both helping us buy and sell a home. We were very impressed by his integrity, professionalism, and experience. Bob was very pro-active and gave us very sound, objective advise. Bob always acted in our best interests, was upfront, and always shared the pros and cons of each situation, putting aside short term personal gain aside, to act in the best interest of his clients. We know we can always count on his sound, advise in any sitution. Bob is someone you can count on, and not only was he knowledgable and professional, but an extreme pleasure to deal with. The combination of his good old fashioned values, with cutting edge knowledge and expertise is hands down, and unbeatable combination. After dealing with Bob on numerous transactions, we've come to trust him explicitly for any situation. Additionally, he is a very grounded, calming person to deal with, and having him on our side, gave us the knowledge that we would come out fine, under any circumstance, even in the un-certain market facing us today. We had met Bob two years ago before we moved to the Bay Area during an open house. He took our info down and almost immediately began sending emails of houses to us based on our preferences. He would check in with us every few months or so. Never pushy he would just see where we were on our search. For two years! I think most would've given up on us, but not Bob. I think he understood that this process doesn't happen overnight and he waited until we were ready. Once we were serious Bob sprung into action. This was our 6th home that we have purchased over the years. Bob broke the mold of my opinion of Realtors. I had used them as a vehicle to see the houses that I had personally picked and to assist us with our contract. Bob was patient and took the time to find out what our likes and dislikes where. He then did something extraordinary. Bob actually hunted homes that we liked and personally previewed them before we saw them as to not waste our time. Maybe this is what all Realtors should be doing, but this was the first time that someone took the reins and was able to find our dream house. His home selections were completely what we were looking for. I remember he had picked out 6 homes for us to look at and we were loving every property he selected. Each one was a little better than the other. Then he took us to the last one of the day and Bob said "This is the one I really want to show you". We fell in love immediately, it had everything we were looking for and put a contract on the property on the spot. After the contract his organization was excellent. Bob kept us on track and provided us with the tools to make sure that we closed our house on time. We must have called him 100 times and he always took the time to answer our calls and gave us all the time we needed to answer our questions. Even after our sale he still checks in from time to time to make sure everything is ok. Bob is a true professional and when I purchase my next property Bob will be the first person I will call.
