I called Binds 'n' Shades to get an estimate for mini blinds. In just a couple of days, Ronnie (the owner) came by to estimate the job. I really liked the fact that they got back to me so fast and arrived punctually. My house is fairly small, so the job is fairly small but Ronnie was enthusiastic and helpful so I placed the order that day. His estimate was they should receive my order from the factory in 2-3 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when they called and said they were ready to schedule the installation before 2 weeks had elapsed. Art was the installer and arrived on time and started right to work. Installation was tidy and professional and was completed in about 1 hour. I was very impressed with this company and highly recommend them.

I needed to repair a set of blinds. The pull up strings had snapped. I called to inquire as to the cost. Stacey was very happy to answer my questions over the phone and quoted me the price to have the blinds repaired.
I came in a couple days later. She remembered me and promptly looked at my blinds. No issue to have them repaired for $45. I also brought in a wand that did not have the top plastic bit. She went to the back bench and pulled out wands to pick parts from. She keeps parts for such instances from when she does complete house replacements. She gave me the part for no charge. Just a happy smile.
The best part is how quickly she turned it around. I came in on a Friday afternoon. She said the blinds would be done before the end of the day. They really were. She called an hour later & I picked them up the next day.
All around, a great experience with a small shop. Nothing fancy, just great customer service.

It was a terrific process. I just sat and watched. Ronnie knew exactly where the hanger brackets had to be placed for each blind, popped the blinds in place, checked their alignment and up and down travel, then walked me through how to open and close the vanes and raise and lower the blinds. He also explained the locking mechanisms--in case the blind cassettes had to be removed temporarily in the future. Ronnie and his assistant worked as a good team during the installation and afterwards, as they cleaned up and replaced furniture that had been moved.

I had a cellular window shade that is about 4 or 5 years old, and two of the cords had broken. I brought it into the shop in the morning, and it was repaired by 1pm. I have used the company before, to clean cellular shades, and was very happy with them. This was a very large shade, and I was worried that it would be too expensive to repair, but compared to the original price of the shade this was a real bargain. Note that I didn't buy the shade there - otherwise he said he would repair it for free. He really seems like someone who cares about his business, and about doing the right thing.

The service was good, but I thought $81 for one blind was outrageous (and that included a senior citizen discount). I was told that was their minimum pricing, which included up to 6 blinds. However, my elderly mom only has the one blind in the kitchen. We had to use their on-site service as we had no way to get the blind down and back up by ourselves.

When I visited their store I realized this was the company who had done a fine job restringing some mini blinds many years ago. The staff was easy to talk to and very helpful in finding out what was available from the manufacturer. They did a free in home consultation and measuring. The suggestion they made for a coordinating honeycomb shade to the patio door blinds was spot on. The window coverings came in early and they notified me right away. When the installer was running a few minutes late they called to let me know. Installation of the honeycombs was amazingly fast. The patio dooring covering was a new product so took longer to install. When I questioned the amount of overlap at the end of the run the installer immediately called the owner, who offered to come out the next morning. The installer found what was wrong and corrected it. The installer took the time to show me the operation of all the shades and blinds, and answered my questions about maintenance and cleaning fully.

The shades were about 15 years old, so we were warned that they might begin to come apart in the cleaning process. We were willing to take that risk. As it turns out, they all came out just fine. They were not perfectly clean, but I wasn't really expecting that after 15 years without being cleaned. They look great when closed, and you can only see the remaining grayish tinge when they are fully compacted (i.e. all the way open). Many of them really look almost new when closed. It took me several calls to find anyone who would clean these, so I was very happy to not only find someone who would do it, but to find that they did such a nice job as well. The work was done more quickly than they estimated it would take. Since we were anxious to have them, they gave them to us earlier than they would normally have done, while they were still a bit damp, but warned us to hang them right away to avoid any mildew or anything.

The price was less expensive than another store by 10%. The owner even added a few extra features to the blinds to better meet my needs at no additional cost. Upon ordering the blinds, I received a date in which the blinds would be ready. To my satisfaction, the blinds were ready for pick up on the specified date. I personally installed the blinds. The owner of the store gave me verbal directions on the installation process. My initial impression along with the overall experience was delightful. The owner truly knew the style of my home and window design just by me stating the neighborhood in which I lived. I so impressed by his knowledge and expertise.

I really like the blinds. They fit perfectly and they are the exact colors I wanted. I am really happy with their work. I couldnt have asked for a better job. I dont remember what they charged, but I dont think it was terribly expensive. I would recommend them.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD. I DROPPED OFF SHADE FOR REPAIR OF BROKEN CORD. THEY RETURNED REPAIRED AND CLEANED IN A TIMELY MANNER. FRIENDLY, FAST SERVICE WITH EXTRA CLEANING I DID NOT EXPECT.
