Heating and Air Conditioning Service
While doing the install of the new furnace the company failed to put proper protection on our newly installed hardwood floors. They slid the heater unit across the hardwood creating two large gouges and several small scratches. The damage occurred on 7/27/06. We contacted the owner, Todd Stone, and requested that he have the floor repaired. He agreed to have someone come out and make a bid on the work but never followed through. He consistently was not in when we called the office and failed to return our calls. After hounding him for over a month he finally had Clark's Hardwood Floors come out and make a bid on the job. They sent the proposal to him but once again he did not respond or return our calls. Clarks performed the repair on 9/6/06 for a fee of $550. Mr. Stone refuses to pay the bill. Now we are going to small claims to seek reimbursement. Avoid this company;they advertise customer service but don't deliver, refusing to pay $550 for repairs on a $9000 job.

Our technicians are courteous and professional, but mistakes can happen and we will do whatever it takes to correct them. It started out OK but got frustrating very quickly. They began without a permit (which we had to eventually get ourselves). One of the workers smashed a flue through our dining room wall, and much of the construction-type work was not to code, and I ended up having to do it myself (catwalk platform too narrow, electrical ground miswired, wrong circuit breakers installed, fire code not followed for attic entrance). The good news is the heater works fine. It was mostly the business part and non-mechanical work (electrical and construction) that was problematic. Also to their credit, they did try to make the more egregious things right, i.e. by sending a guy to patch the 2 foot square hole in the living room.
