Automatic Gate Installations

First class all the way. Rick, Cristi, and team stand behind the product and are extremely responsive. They care about customer satisfaction even years after purchase. Will definitely use AGI again.

Rick Dentoni responded quickly to my initial call.  He took measurements and was up to the challenge.  I did have to prompt him to give written estimate which was comparable to another highly rated company.  I decided on AGI because he would be on job. Once I received his estimate our building department quickly approved his design and plan for the existing gate remodel and automation.
He had to replace employees due to internal company issues so there was a 2 month delay in getting started.  Once we began project which required gates to be removed and reworked the process took about three weeks to a month for final inspection.  Rick was on the job with his crew every step of the way as one employee was new to his team.  His daughter, Christi, finished up with the finishing touches to the iron work.  The 35 year old gates are operating perfectly six months later and look fabulous.

It was an interesting experience. 
My initial appointment with Rick (the owner)  to review the job. He was on time to the agreed appointment. I thought it went well. I provided details on where I wanted the gate installed and agreed on a design for the gate. 
A few days later, I received a call that they were ready to go and I told them to proceed. I came home that day to find the gate post in the wrong location. Not good. After some communication, the gate post was ripped out and I reiterated my instruction on where the gate was to go. That was the last I saw of Rick.
  
However, the reputation of this company was saved, in my opinion by the follow up and attentiveness of the next program manager - Cristi. She was very helpful and drove the project to completion, despite some shenanigans from San Jose City Permit people.   Very happy with the gate and its operation.
Further update 12-08-14 - after a few days of rain, the wooden panels on the gate started to swell and the gate fell apart!!! I contacted the company and was told I was a priority and this would be attended to as soon as possible.  As of 12-30, nothing has been done to correct this.

After calling the company who put in our entry gate multiple times I decided to try someone else. Automatic Gate Installation responded right away and came out right away. The first time they came out they spent at least a couple of hours trying to figure it out. Finally it was decided that we needed a new mother board. Before getting the mother board they came out a second time to try and change a setting so we could at least keep the gate open manually until the mother board came. While here they were able to fix it completely and we didn't need the mother board. They were great people to work with. I will and would use them again

The owner of the company came out to look at the work, made some suggestions. He sent a quote the same day. They were able to schedule the work within a week. The team arrived on time. They went above and beyond to make it right; instead of only replacing the operator and wheels, they welded some cracks in the fence, bent it to be straight again, re-installed one of the posts, removed a letter from the fence (you can't see where it was), and helped to remove an old chain lock. They were extremely polite, and cleaned up after themselves. The gate works perfectly, can't even hear it when it is opening and closing. Highly recommended.
