Such a good experience from beginning to end! I came back from a trip to find my water heater was leaking all over the place. I was referred to THE Water Heater Company by some friends, whose opinions I hold in high regard, and I was not disappointed. The company gave me straightforward options and said they could respond the next day and would likely be able to replace my water heater that same day. Marc was able to remove my old water heater and replace it with a great brand in the time he said it would take; moving everything up and down 3 flights of stairs and working in a small space. A great experience from start to finish: thorough review of existing equipment and services; thorough explanation of available options and explained better versus worse options; they said what they were going to do and delivered on that. My 12-year-old water heater was on its way out, and it was finally time to replace it. I’ve always wanted to go tankless, so after many hours of research and finding reputable local plumbers in my area, I reached out to the Water Heater Company to analyze my current situation and come up with a replacement solution. Again, my goal was to go tankless; however, after Tanner from The Water Heather company surveyed my property and went over all my options, it was determined the configuration of my main gas line and proper placement of the unit would not be conducive to install a tankless unit as there were many obstacles, hours of labor, and resorting back to a tank heater would be the best option for me. Tanner suggested I go with a company called Bradford White, which has fantastic reviews and a unit that will give me some longevity. I decided to have Tanner install the unit, which included all-new copper fittings and much more. This company knows water heaters, and I appreciate his honesty that he could install a tankless heater, but financially, the layout of my house would not be in my best interest. Therefore, I felt comfortable working with The Water Heater Company to install my new Bradford White gas tank water heater. Tanner was highly professional, cleaned up after the job, and went through everything he did installing my new tank. I highly recommend anybody looking for a tankless or tank water heater contact the Water Heater Company, and if you’re lucky enough, Tanner will be your technician.

This review is for a job done a few months ago. The workmanship was great, but the attempts to up-charge were a bit ridiculous. We needed a new water heater, and the tech gave us the typical salesy pitch. The heater itself has a 10 year warranty but the guy gave us options for a labor warranty, with the highest price at over $5,000. Then he gave lower options and so on & so on. Typical sales pitch: Start with an insanely high number and then give lower options so the lowest option doesn’t seem so bad…But the lowest option was approx. $3,400 — which is crazy for a water heater replacement! We passed on the service until the tech came back and said he talked to his boss and they’d do the whole job for $2,500. He was insistent that we use their service before getting other quotes because he was “confident you won’t find a better deal anywhere else.” Given the workmanship and the fact that he supposedly upgraded everything to code, I would say that $2,500 was a fair price for the 3 hour job. However, I didn’t appreciate the salesy strategy and the fact that we had to basically keep saying “No” for him to give us the fair price.

Technician showed up on time. I was kept informed of his location and his projected arrival time. Communication with the technician and the company was excellent. The technician was polite, professional and efficient. Advised me of my options. Explained process. Helped me to provide access to the water heater area--he even disconnected reconnected my gas dryer. He checked to make sure everything was working properly before completing the job and that all new installation requirements were met.

Marc was fantastic. He told us everything that was going to happen. He was thorough, friendly and he liked our cats. And he explained all that had transpired when he was done. Plus he showed us how to shut off the gas and water on the heater itself. He is a keeper.
