MARK W VARNUM CONSTRUCTION INC

When I decided to downsize after the loss of my husband and found a smaller home in a gated community. The house was built in the late 1980's and was in need of remodeling to meet my style and needs. I purchased the home from a gentleman who was color blind. I overlooked the purple carpet and apricot walls and knew that it was just what I was looking for. Mark Varnum had built a beautiful workshop for my husband about 11 years ago and when Mark came up first on the list for bathroom remodels, I knew I had a sign. When I found out that Mark could do all the work I needed done, we discussed my needs and came up with a plan. We decided to modernize the home and to make it like new for my new life. Mark set me up with a flooring specialist, cabinet maker, and a stone and tile expert. The electrician, Dave Bachmann, was the same one that did the workshop and my husband totally trusted and redid the electrical to be safe and meet my needs for a smart home. Of delight was Lou Branchev of L.I. Modern Marble, Inc. Lou helped me to pick out the stone for shower. With Lou's expert guidance I picked out some beautiful Italian marble with character and beautiful designs. Lou then helped me pick out floor tile for the bathroom and tile for the house entry. Lou designed the most beatutiful bathroom I have ever seen. The marble was matched in the corner and includes a niche for soap and shampoo. The floor tile was continue up the wall in a contrasting diagonal pattern with accents of the marble. The wainscoting is topped with a matching marble chair rail. The countertops also take advantage of the beautiful designs in the marble. The window seat and all new cabinets int eh house were built by Mark Mulchay and his team at California Designers Choice. They used red oak that my hsband has purchased for his hobby of furniture building. I cried when I saw the beautiful cabinets and window seat that my husband would have approved of. Mark Varnum has given me a home so much more beautiful that I would have ever dreamed and has been very patient at my many changes. He provided me with spectacular options and the highest quality subcontractors that I know my dreams have come true. I highly recommend Mark for all of your construction needs.
