"Dear [Member Name Removed], Thank you for your review. I am sorry you were not satisfied. Unfortunately, your wedding day suffered a completely uncommon hurricane in Southern Ca. Your family members accepted and signed a contract common to outdoor wedding venues stating we are not responsible for act's of god, this includes weather. I did not ignore you, but I waited for you to let me know you wanted to move your wedding. At that moment I made sure that was possible through our caterer. When they confirmed the church would accept us we moved you. After you left, I spoke to all of your guests on the site and made sure they had the church address and directions. I personally retrieved all of your 16 table floral centerpieces from under the plastic on the tables in the reception area and took them to the church hall. I also stayed for the entire event to make sure everything ran smoothly. All other suggestions you came up with are not allowed by Ventura County and go against our permit. To do what you asked would cause us to be in violation. My hands were tied by the government that allows us to have weddings in open space. The hurricane was not forewarned, and all of the forecasts were wrong that morning. Other weddings going on at other venues did not move. They waited it out, the rain broke, and they stayed and had a wonderful time at their venues. The contract is very clear, and I ask all who sign it to ask me questions about anything they don't understand. Bad weather, while extremely rare, is a risk everyone who chooses a completely outdoor venue takes. I am sorry it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to, but I am not god, and I was present and supported your event, just as all the over vendors did."
