The re-roofing job done by Greatway Roofing was a very positive experience from start to finish. Sales rep, Matt, took alot of time explaining what would be involved in re-roofing, answered all my questions honestly, and put forth a very detailed proposal that was easy to read and covered all expenses so there were no surprises. The gentlemen that worked on my roof were very friendly and hardworking. The cleanup afterwards was done to perfection.

Great Way Roofing was recommended by good friends and also had a terrific rating here on Angie's List. I got estimates from 3 other companies and not only was GreatWay the most competitive but also one of only two of the 4 companies that followed up with me after estimating.. Job was a complete tearoff of 3 layers plus wood rot replacement and roof now had to be a "Cool Roof" per city code- which makes it a bit more expensive. Matt Saeger, the rep I worked with always responded promptly to my calls and emails, was patient, explained everything in detail, answered my many many questions. Schedule went as planned. Dawn in the office provided great support for paperwork and any questions regarding that. I'd advised a difficult neighbor in advance of the scope of the project. When he had an issue the first day it was addressed promptly by Matt and GreatWay and resolved quickly to the neighbor's satisfaction. All good. The roof repair work had been estimated well, and only had to add some additional wood replacement due to some additional unexpected wood rot found after tear off. I was provided pictures and details and approved the extra cost and scope of additional work before it was completed - which was a reasonable additional expense and not much over the original estimate. The Great Way roofing team of Rene, Sal, Lionel, Fernando and Tony (I think I got the names all correct!) were terrific. Everything was protected as needed (including my new attic furnace and air con units). Everything was cleaned up every day completely. Each member of the team was considerate and courteous, clean when they arrived and all wearing GreatWay shirts. The guys at my guidance even put all my patio furniture, many heavy potted plants and my garden decor all back in place. (I think they actually got a kick out of placing the plants and decor back properly!) Already had another neighbor remark at how nice the new roof looked. Very satisfied customer.

Very well, I had been told they were scheduling out just over a month when I got the estimate but they had a last minute opening a couple weeks before I expected. The crew was very professional and worked quickly. They appear to have done a thorough job and left the work site spotless. I will update my review if there are any issues with the repair with the coming rains.

it could not have gone any better! Because last year was a rainy winter, we were told from the beginning that they were very busy and would not be able to actually do the work for about two months. We were told that the work would commence in mid to late October. Sure enough, a week before the work was to begin, we were contacted and the start date was confirmed. They showed up on the scheduled date, the re-roofing took two days to complete and from start to finish everyone involved was extremely professional.

They came on time, worked efficiently with a large crew and did everything they were contracted to do. They took great care not to damage my glass sun room attached to the house. They cleaned up after each day. After the old shingles were removed they covered the roof in plastic to keep it dry and free of moisture overnight. They installed new vents and trim color matched to my shingles. In short I would use them again.

Great, they walked me through the process and delivered on everything they promised. They were competitive and I would highly refer them to friends and family.

Firstly, after the strong wind storms, some of the wood was showing on the roof. Once I decided to have Greatway replace my roof, Matt immediately came over and secured a protective cover for the roof. My project was a one day thing, so when the date arrived, Matt, the owner (sorry I forgot his name), and the crew arrived promptly. I was introduced to everyone by Matt. However the wind was howling that day, and since I have a two story house, they decided to cancel on that day for safety of the crew. Matt immediately gave me an appointment for 6 days later. The crew arrived, and went to work. Matt came by, and called a couple of times to see how the job was going, and when the crew was done, only 7 hours later, I had a beautiful new roof! They also had to replace a bit of wood when doing the job, and the price was more than reasonable. The crew cleaned up nicely, and even went to my neighbors to clean their side yards. I highly recommend Greatway Roofing for any and all roofing needs! Matt and his team were fantastic! By the way, I have received many complements on my roof since!

I can't add much to what the previous reviewers have said, but here's my take.  Overall, it was a great experience.
Matt came out to give us an estimate, was professional and friendly.  He noted a few details that would need extra care like the flashing around the skylights and preventing dirt and debris from getting into our pond.  Once we signed the contract he was helpful in providing me with additional information about energy efficient roofing material.
The old roof was removed and replaced with the new one in 3 days.  As other reviewers have said, the crew was great about cleaning up the area each day before they left.  The whole process seemed to be done very efficiently.
Now, we'll have to see how the new roof holds up to El Nino - but I expect it will.

The house was built in 1977. We replaced the original concrete tile roof.

Matt was our primary contact. He walked us through how they would handle the job, quoted a couple of options, ordered sample tiles for us so we could see the colors in person and supplied some addresses in the area where those tiles had been installed so we could see what it would look like.

The old roof was removed in a few hours on day one. They installed the new roof over the next two days.

Tony and the rest of the guys on the crew were friendly and good about answering questions. They cleaned up around the house each day. I have no complaints. They are very good at what they do.

The roof looks great. I would hire them again.

Martin Saeger with Roof Great Way Roofing and their crew are great. They came out on schedule and did a great job. We've had them work on our roof a few times in the past 15 years and they always do an excellent job.

They were extermely professional and did a great job. We were kept up to date with the progress from before the work was done, and during the work. They emailed me some photos during the replacement of the wood and roof work and kept me well informed. The worksite was pristine when complete, and our back patio and side yard walkway were much cleaner than before they arrived, which was like an added  bonus!  I highly recommend them.

I am such a fan of Angie's List and my experience with GreatWay Roofing attests to that.  I researched roofers on Angie's, and based on good reviews, called on three companies to bid. To make the final choice amongst the three, I read every review submitted on each one, and there were many.  Based on the consistently great reviews given to GreatWay, decided to go with them.  And what a superb choice that turned out to be.  The communication was great leading up to the start date and throughout the project. They started on time each day, and cleaned up beautifully at the end of each day.  Each of the workers was very pleasant (and when you have them working inside your home-as they needed to do to install the daylite tubes (which are truly amazing!)-being pleasant and courteous is real plus.  They completed the job when they said they would.  There were no surprises. They came in at the price they had quoted during the bidding. This was a big, and for us, an expensive job. In addition to a complete reroof (ours was 40 years old) there was extensive wood rot on our eaves because the initial roof had been installed in a less than optimal way.  They also did little touches that I didn't realize they would do, like painting all the various vents on the roof to match the color of the roof tiles. Our roof looks wonderful. We are thoroughly happy with the work they did.  The decision to go with GreatWay was certainly the right one.  They are an impressive company and I would without any hesitation recommend them to anyone. And I am grateful that Angie's List made it possible to find them!
