Fortress Roofing

We had two bids, Fortress was the lower of the two, also Ron came highly recommended by someone who had worked with him in the past. He was prompt to come and inspect, his crew showed up on time per our schedule, they were very quick to complete our roof, replaced wood where necessary, matched colors, installed better flashing than we had before. The roof looks great and they left our exterior clean every day they worked.

Job went very well!  I appreciated them letting me paint the boards before they put them up.  The roofers were quiet, cleaned up after themselves and did great work!  I highly recommend this company!  Their pricing was great compared to other bids and, as I said, they do quality work.

Wanted an estimate. Decided to go with somebody else.

He showed up on time and was very knowledgable. I felt that was a fair price.

I have used Fortress Roofing since October 2003. We bought an old house and needed a roof evaluation. I had three different companies assess the roof. Ron (the owner of Fortress) was the only one who showed up on time and made an intelligent and professional report on the roof's condition. Everyone else condemned the roof; Ron said he could get me 5 more years out of it but that certain sections were so problematic, he couldn't guarantee his work. Instead of $15000 for a new roof, I spent $1,300 for repairs. Some leaks developed in the first rains and he came straight out and took care of them no charge. 5 years later, some leaks developed exactly where Ron said they would. He came back out (in the middle of some of the worst rains) and did some ER repairs for about $800 but advised that the roof had now exceeded its useful life and to plan on a new roof.

The recession hit and having lost my job we have yet to replace the roof. But Ron will be a bidder when we proceed. He is a good man and a straight shooter. I trust him and his crew to do a good job and if they mess up a bit, to fix it no questions asked.

Roofs are not easy to fix. Ron won't promise you the moon and then shrug when it doesn't work. He will guarantee what he can and give you the bad news on what he can't. I recommend him and suggest you give him a shot at your roofing needs. He has always done right by me.

Used Fortress roofing once before for repair work. Since that was satisfactory I hired them again to replace the flat section of roof. Ron responded promptly to my call and came over to look at the roof. He agreed that the flat roof needed replacement but the remainder of the roof had another 5 years or so. I arranged for Fortress to do the work and Ron sent over two roofers the following week. They needed two days for the job as it was extremely sunny and hot the first day so it was difficult to remove the old tiles. They worked all day under that hot sun until it was evident they would need to come the next day to complete. They arrived early the next and completed the roofing. Ron came to inspect the next day and decided that he wanted to place some extra flashing in another area (at no extra cost). He sent one of his guys out a week later to do that and the job was complete.

Job is holding up so far.
